I can be difficult not to be hard on ourselves when we feel like we're at fault for things like this. Is there some ways you can show yourself a bit of kindness and compassion tonight?

@Jynx I’m afraid I hate myself atm. The only respite is sleep so I will go to bed early. Thankfully it is cool here today. I suffer from night time heat since I went through menopause. I have chores in the morning to keep me occupied. I have stuffed up trying to cancel some payments and fear I will have to pay again. What a mess I have created. I feel hopeless and stupid.

I'm sorry hun, @GezzaP my scattered mind gets me into pickles like this too - add in the fact that many companies are purposefully difficult to deal with when it comes to stuff like this (they hope people will give up trying to get the refund/cancellation/etc.) and it can make it really easy to be taken advantage of.

I take meds for sleep so usually go to sleep ok. Problem is staying asleep after I get up to go to the toilet. Sleep is vital for bipolar. Companies should be obligated to have a phone number. @Jynx paypal should be banned.

@GezzaP oh I'm similar, find it very hard to fall back to sleep if I'm woken up. Sometimes for me it's about waiting until the next 'sleep phase' (typically they're about 90 minutes each - getting woken up mid-cycle leaves us groggy vs waking up at the end of a cycle), usually I'll try to read or do a little bit of pottering around the house until I feel the heaviness in my eyelids again.

Might be different with bipolar, but I'm not sure. I do hope that you're able to get a good night's rest tonight hun. Dealing with that sort of thing makes me feel really depleted too, so valid to be absolutely done with today.

@GezzaP *big hugs* we all stuff up sometimes. And i agree with Jynx about some companies making it hard to manage billing/cancelation/refund deliberately. Does Paypal have a number you can call or an email address (or webform) to write to, to ask someone to help you fix whatever went wrong?

I get pretty angry at myself when i make mistakes that cost me extra $$ too. But i try to remember that it is just money, and i am still safe.

Morning @Jynx . I got about 7.5 hours sleep. I tackled 1 financial transaction. I was able to contact an actual person! They were very understanding even though it took about an hour to complete. I hope this is now fixed.

I also got 2 replies to emails I sent yesterday. I hope to get refunds and cancellation of associated subscriptions. I am quite exhausted. Will tackle more tomorrow.

I did my exercises and went for a walk. Also watered the garden. It is still nice and cool here this morning.

I haven’t been able to find a number or email yet @AlwaysMyself . I have sorted 3 transactions so far. There is a long list. I have had enough for now. Managed to walk, do exercises and water garden early.

My day was reasonable. Work went well - had enough work to which which was good. 😊 and went out to a local sports-club/bistro to check it out with my mother for possible future group meeting venue. Very full belly now 🤭
