Re: Life and trauma
@MJG017 thankyou. I really hope you can have a good day. I'm trying to just not think about it as Christmas and like it's just another day. Adelaide is definitely hot today and I don't plan on leaving the house.
The neck pain eventually settled and I was able to get a little bit of sleep. I'm still very tired and find myself just laying here crying.
I have been keeping a check on the forums but I also don't want to bring others down.

Re: Life and trauma
@Former-Member Oh, you're in Adelaide as well. I haven't met many people from Adelaide on the forum.
At least the neck pain settled down and you managed to get a little sleep. It's a lot better than no sleep so take any wins you can get.
You won't bring anyone on the forum down if you decide to join in and you don't have to talk about anything you don't want to obviously. Anyone there today will probably just be up for a bit of friendly chat so it may help give you some company today. It's up to you, but there's a lot of very supportive and friendly people there.

Re: Life and trauma
@Former-Member I know that sometimes we just want to be alone, but i've found that if I force myself to interact with other people during those times I usually feel better. But I also know that some times, it's just too hard. So just see how you feel.

I just wanted to wish you a very Merry Christmas. Even though you will be alone, I hope that you find a way to make it special! Thinking of you today.

@MJG017 it's hard cos I want to be alone but don't want to feel lonely. I'll see how I go. I'm just glad to be here right now and know that there are some people that care about how I'm feeling.

Re: Life and trauma
@Former-Member I think "amazing" will be very ambitious, but thank you. When I've popped my cracker, I'll send you the jokes. Knowing the quality of crackers these days, I hope the jokes don't make your day worse 😆

Re: Life and trauma
Thanks @Former-Member
Our day is a little bit flat because we didn’t buy any gifts this year. Not even a stocking. So yeah a bit sad that Santa didn’t come. Tonight we are having the kids over for dinner. I made a cheesecake yesterday for dessert. It looks pretty good. I will try and take a photo tonight.

@OaktreeTry not to feel flat. Spending the day with family is the real gift.
