Well, I guess next year is a long way away, so you never know what may happen until then, so look at it as something to work towards. When things start feeling like they're getting on top of you, think of it and it may help keep you feeling a little more positive. As we've talked about... take every little win... and this sounds like a win.

Re: Life and trauma
@MJG017 it's something that's out of my control. It all depends on the place and if they want to help me out. Hard to explain on here without giving out details. So it's not really a win as such, more so just a possibility that things might be made easier.

Hi @Former-Member @MJG017
Sounds like it’s hot in SA! 🥵
It’s not too bad here. It was overcast with a little sprinkle this morning but now it’s mostly sunny. I just mowed my front lawn. Which will help with the stiffness from yesterday’s competition 🤣
Remarkably I did not have a good night sleep despite feeling physically tired, my brain just would not stop.
Just cooking dinner now (in the oven - don’t think about it you two 😂) so I can be all ready to watch Muster Dogs tonight on ABC.

It's a possibility that you didn't have yesterday, so that seems like a win to me. Take some hope and optimism from it. Even if it's not from this possibility itself, but that things can come up out of nowhere with a bit of luck. Sometimes when we're in our deepest holes, someone or something comes along to help us out of it. Whether it's pure luck or someone helps us where they normally may not have, when they see the position we're in.

Hello @Till23, it's definitely warm here today.
Honestly getting jealous of all these people getting rain, it's so dry here. Good on you for mowing the lawn.
Trust your brain to not switch off, that's even harder when you are physically tired but can't rest.
What's for dinner? You took away all my fun there, there was an opportunity and you burst my bubble 😂.

@MJG017 I'm trying to see that hope but you know what it's like right now. It was actually the person that came with me to the housing SA meeting that's given me this information.
I'm deep in a dark hole right now, I need someone to come to the rescue but there's noone other than myself.

I remember when you first came here, you didn't think you had much of any support at all. Things change, especially when we reach these lows and it forces us to do things we wouldn't otherwise do. And we find people that make our lives better.
Now, I'm not trying to say you can just sit back and there's nothing to worry about. But you've come a long way and you have people looking out for you. So don't lose hope just yet. We'll all do everything we can to help you through however we can.

Re: Life and trauma
@MJG017 I still don't have much in the way of support. I have my gp and the person that did the support letter for me and the one that came with me to the meeting. But they aren't personal support as such and that's hard to explain without going into detail.
Don't get me wrong I'm glad these people have helped but they have done all they can now so I'm back to being alone. The only reason I don't have hope is because I can't handle being let down again. Everytime I got my hopes up they got completely crushed. I'm thankful to have the community here, I at least have people to talk to so I don't feel so alone.

Re: Life and trauma
@Former-Member you might not be so jealous of people getting rain if you lived in SE Qld or northern NSW!!
Hopefully, I'll get some sleep tonight. I've got table tennis tomorrow and in the evening @MJG017 I am going to a free talk about the cardiac effects of cancer treatment. I will have some effects because I had radiotherapy on my left chest so my heart would have been in the beam. Also many chemotherapy agents have effects on heart.
Sorry about bursting your bubble
For dinner I had a small butterfly lamb with garlic and rosemary. Because I've always lived on my own and used to work 6 or 6 and a half days a week, I got used to cooking up a few meals at once. So I have sliced it all up now and I froze some and I will have the rest over next couple of days and then I'll have the frozen stuff a bit later. I needed some protein after my competition and it was on special so when you divide it over the days I'll eat it, it won't be too expensive.
What did you have for dinner @Former-Member @MJG017

Re: Life and trauma
@Till23 no i feel for those that are getting too much.
I hope you get a good night's sleep tonight. Have fun playing table tennis.
That sounds yummy, it's good that you can make meals ahead of time. No dinner for me.
