Re: Life and trauma

@MJG017 i was called motor mouth in school cos i talk so fast 😂. I still talk fast now and I get told to slow down cos people can't understand me, I'm like I can't it's just me. It's why I don't hold conversations with people cos I hate being judged.

I feel like that's more my response now days 'ugh' or it's just 'meh'. Simple responses that don't require a conversation. I'd take being a cave person any day 😂

I've been to Marion to spend some of my giftcard I got from that workshop. It was a colesmyer giftcard so I went to Myer. Which was handy because I got a park near the door and didn't have to go through the mall. The areas I needed to go to was right inside the door. And because it's Myer there were hardly any people. I got a toaster by the way. My old one, a 4 slice, kind of died. The element on one side stopped working so I thought i'd get a new one.

It really was a military style in and out mission executed to perfection. I literally saw 8 people while i was there! And one of the was my partner and the other was myself in a very shiny food dehydrator.

How have you been? I did see your new stained glass style artwork. Another very beautiful piece of work.

@MJG017 i love when you can park and just walk right in without having to enter the mall itself. Ooohhh a shiny new toaster, lots of yummy toast coming 😋.

In and out quickly is the only way to survive shopping trips. Lucky you only saw your reflection in a food dehydrater and not a mirror or it might have broken Oh wait it's only me that breaks mirrors by looking in them 😂.

I'm ok i guess, had a crappy sleep or lack there of.

I just cooked a creamy chicken, mushroom and spinach stir fry thing.

Yep, i was very pleased with myself. A perfectly executed maneuver.

I have no idea what happens when i look into a mirror. I gave up looking at them many years ago. I kept seeing this scary grumpy looking bloke staring back at me. I'm not risking that again! 🤣

Well, at least you mother isn't there today, so that must be a plus. I think we're having a savory noodle mince thingy for dinner tonight.

Re: Life and trauma

@MJG017 i avoid mirrors at all costs, i can even do my hair without having to look in one 😂.

Yes that was a bonus, I even managed to have a shower today which was refreshing. I'm getting ready to sit on my bed and listen to music and do some colouring.

That sounds like you have you own plan. What are you listening to?

Re: Life and trauma

@MJG017 I've given up on the music got a bit triggered by my ice skating song that came on, doesn't usually affect me like this but anyway. Now I'm watching my show and colouring, well the show is on in the background so I'm really just listening to it.

Well, at least when you got triggered, you changed to your show and continued colouring. So that seems like a positive sign that you're dealing with these triggers a bit more effectively. What is the picture you are colouring?

Re: Life and trauma

@MJG017 maybe. I was on a chat to a service and had to end that conversation as it was all too much.

I'm doing a mandala with my gel pens.
