Re: Life and trauma

@MJG017 oh and I also changed my appointment to a phone call on Monday and my doctor was happy with that. I have a phone intake assessment with toward home on Tuesday aswell.

It's exhausting being so up and down at the moment. It's like some moments are pure bliss and others are complete darkness. I sort of just want an in-between feeling without having to be at the extreme of either end if that makes sense.

I totally understand that feeling of not wanting those highs with the lows... just preferring a nice quiet middle ground. Lately, i've found the highs... well, what passes for highs these days... just remind me of all the lows around me.

But things do seem to be heading in a positive direction for you so if you can get the housing issue resolved then I think it will make a big difference for you.

Re: Life and trauma

@MJG017 that's exactly right after I have the highs and when I come down from that all the lows feel so much more intense and overwhelming.

I'm hoping something can be done about the housing situation but we all know how greedy land angents/lords can be.

It's been such a long day for me and I'm so frustrated with how I was treated my this mental health worker today. Things that they said to me have really stuck with me and it hurts.

I'm sorry the MH worker upset you today. Try to think that how you were treated reflects poorly on them, not on you. It probably wont take away the hurt but i think it's important to keep in mind to stop it causing any downward spiral.

Re: Life and trauma

@MJG017 yeah I know. This worker said to me 'this is the second time I've had to come out to see you, how many more times do I have to come here'. I honestly felt like saying to him 'I'm sorry I'm having a mental health crisis right now and that inconveniences you'. But I bit my tongue and told my doctor how he treated me, maybe that's the reason this guy didn't call me back.

But anyway tomorrow is a new day and i don't have to ever face today again.

That's a great way to look at it. It reminds me of when a psychologist told me I was making her feel bad because I kept coming back and I didn't seem to be improving after I told her I wanted to come back because I felt it was helpful for me, it was just my health situation kept getting worse. Needless to say i never went back. I just dont really trust them anymore.

Re: Life and trauma

@MJG017 some people really need to rethink their job choices :face_with_rolling_eyes:. And you already know what happened to me when i saw a psychologist. Honestly frustrates me, do they not realise how much of an impact what they say and how they act has on people that are already at an incredibly low point.
