@Jynxi need a reminder to just breath and let things go, to just sit with how I'm feeling and accept that right now i can't change it.
We've chatted before about putting thoughts in boxes (or folders or however you wish) into things you can control and things you can't. So forget the ones you can't control, they will take care of themselves whether you like it or not. With the things you can control, file them into things i can do now and things i cant. So the dishes can go into the 'things you cant do now'. Unless you really feel like doing the dishes, do them later. We wont tell anyone. 🙂
For me, the trick is not to try and forget anything, these problems, even the ones you can't control, will still be there. The idea is to just tell yourself "hey me... another tough day isn't it! lets just agree to worry about this bunch of stuff later."
Not only does it reduce the stress, but it helps to focus you on the things you can control and the chance of getting a little win or two by feeling like you've done something go up a lot.
So just breath, remember that you're here and it's okay right this minute. This minute is okay.

@Former-Member aye, what @MJG017 said - it might feel impossible but it's definitely not. You got this - one minute at a time is totally okay. And you did it!! Almost 10 of em since you posted, nice one!

Re: Life and trauma
Thanks @MJG017 . I'm trying to just not think about what's to come, to focus on this moment alone. It's physically impossible for me to do anything more about the housing situation today, I've done everything I can and I'm trying hard to remind myself of that.

Re: Life and trauma
@Jynx I've been colouring non stop all day in between the chores and the making of phone calls this morning. Between colouring and chatting here those are the only things keeping me in the present moment and getting through each minute.

@Former-Member oh that's super unprofessional, and super disheartening too! I'm sorry you copped that, those feelings of rejection are gnarly.
Sitting with ya 💜
