Life and trauma

@MJG017 it's hit and miss sometimes but the public systems are so backlogged and they are struggling to catch up with everyone on waiting lists. My cardiac one last year was urgent and i had an appointment within the month but then another was done as urgent and it took 3 referrals until they even acknowledged that they had received it.

Oh yay you found a movie. I'll have a look when I get to sit down for 5 minutes.

Had a fire truck in my street just before cos neighbours like to burn things in their backyard. Not great when the smell comes in through the ducted aircon and you have asthma.

@MJG017 that movie looks good, might have to try and check it out. I was in a chat to lifeline and cos I watched the video I accidentally closed the tab to my chat aswell 😂. Now I gotta wait in the queue all over again.

Oh, whoops! I hope it doesn't take too long to get back to chatting to someone.

Occassionally we have to turn off the aircon because there's a scrub fire miles away ... A bit of smoke in the air and the aircon will just suck it inside the house. I can only imagine how bad it would be with a fire next door!

I'm just about to start the movie now. I'll let you know what it's like.

@MJG017 it didn't take too long but the person wasn't helpful that I got next so I gave up.

They aren't right next door but like just across the road basically. It was horrible coming through the house and was making me cough. Although I did enjoy seeing the fire truck, i miss my days of working on the fire trucks fighting fires.

The movie was quite good, I really enjoyed it. It finished about 90mins ago and I thought I'd watch a little YouTube and then have an early night. I just woke up after dozing off on the couch, so it's off to bed now.

I hope you have a much easier night tonight and your appt tomorrow is productive.

You used to work as a firey? How long did you do that for?

@MJG017 oh I'm glad you enjoyed it. I went to bed early aswell but it was a very disruptive night.

I was with CFS for 8 years, I worked in the Mount lofty fire tower for a few years aswell as working on the trucks.

@MJG017 my day has just been ruined, my doctors appointment had to be cancelled cos he can't get in today. I needed that appointment so badly, now I don't know what to do 😞.

@MJG017 thought today couldn't get any worse. I was wrong. Got my lease renewal and they are putting my rent up so now I'm going to be homeless in less than a month. I'm done, I quit.

Hey @Former-Member it sounds like you're having a really rough start to the day!

Is there any way you may be able to dispute the rent increase or negotiate for a lesser increase? I know it doesn't always work but I have had people I know successfully do this

@Ru-bee i tried that last year when they put it up. They won't do any maintenance on the property and yet it's safety issues, ie the ceiling in a room is literally falling down and dropping fibres from the insulation into the room aswell as dust and all sorts of stuff. I just can't deal with this, I was already struggling and now this aswell. It's too much.
