Re: Life and trauma
thanks! @Former-Member ahh yep i can understand the loss of appetite, hopefully you can get a few sips of water in when you feel light-headed? i know it's hard, and i know you're doing your best - keeping busy and getting things done, wow some more wins for today!
i wish i could take away all those intrusive thoughts for you. the diamond art seems quite fun, i haven't done one in years! and there's so many new crafts out there, i feel out of the loop! are you much into lego sort of stuff?

Re: Life and trauma
@rav3n i managed a few sips of water only cos I needed to take medication, but even that was a struggle.
The diamond art is fun but also very fiddly. I did a cross stitch a little while ago, was the first one I've actually finished completely so I was proud of myself.
Lego, nah not at all i only have over 300 sets 😂.

Re: Life and trauma
even though it was a struggle... YOU DID IT! good on you @Former-Member
oh yeah, i remember the last time i did diamond art i kept getting annoyed that the sticker didn't sit perfectly in its spot. haha 'no probllama' love it! it's so cuteeee
300 sets, yep you don't sound like a lego fan at all 😂
what's the most recent one you bought? do you usually buy random lego sets, or do you like getting particular themed ones?

Re: Life and trauma
@rav3n as if today wasn't hard enough I've just had someone message me and bring up the past and all the abusive relationships I've been in. It's triggered every bad memory possible right now.
I have a love hate relationship with diamond art 😂. I have so many cross stitch kits but I just never have the motivation to start them.
I have all sorts of Lego, I have cars, planes, buses, buildings, cranes, shops, houses, animals, boats the list goes on. But my most recent 2 were Simba (lion king) and Stitch. I used to buy every set that was released but I can barely afford to buy a set once a year now.

Hi @Former-Member , I can see how resilient you are. Thank you for sharing and updating us about your progress. I recognise it is so hard for you at the moment, but you are doing what you can to remain hopeful.
Also, I love the No Problemo Llama!

Re: Life and trauma
@tyme i really am trying so hard. It's been quite the day and it's still not over yet. I'm sitting on my bed colouring a picture at the moment, was happy cos i found another 6 packets of my gel pens so that was a win for me.
Thankyou, I thought it was cute.

Re: Life and trauma
ughh hate when people drudge up the past like that, and at the worst times too! you did not deserve that @Former-Member
do the cross-stitch kits come with all the tools/materials? or do you need to buy stuff like the stitching needle separately?
woahhh that sounds like a cool collection! aww Lion King 2 and Stitch! did you watch Lion King 2? that's so fair, lego is pretty expensive! i've resorted to gifting my friend the kmart anko 'lego' instead, much cheaper and pretty good quality for its price i guess!

Re: Life and trauma
@rav3n it's really affected me and i didn't need it, not today.
Most of them are complete kits but there are some that are just a pattern but I've already got the stuff for them to do them. It's just finding that time and motivation. Also have to avoid using certain things that could trigger me. So probably not the best thing for me to try at the moment, but i do hope to do one soon.
Yes I've seen the lion king movies, but the first one is still the best. Stitch is my favourite character followed closely by Eeyore. I can't do fake Lego, it's banned in my house 😂. But i do like some of the mini nano block sets that you can get and kmart have their own version of them.

@MJG017 i was so tired after today that I fell asleep just after 10.30pm, but I've woken up having a full on panic attack 😞

You got yourself through the day, and even got to sleep a bit early. Try to concentrate on those wins you've had.
