Re: Life and trauma

@MJG017 they've heard from me so many times so things just aren't taken seriously now. And it's cos of the whole situation, I can't go into it unfortunately cos it's just too personal but what happened previously was the worst thing that's ever happened in my life and that's why it's affecting me so much now cos there is no way I could ever go through that again and live to tell the tale.

@Former-Member No one wants you to go through anything so traumatic again nor should you have to explain yourself, but at the same time dont be hesitant reach out to someone if you think it will be helpful.

I know we talked about it before, but is there anything at all you can think of to try just as a distraction at the moment? Some random youtube or old movie or anything just to have something happening in the background?

Re: Life and trauma

@MJG017 I'm watching sister act at the moment. But reality is it's just on, I can't focus on it, I can't laugh at any of the funny parts. I even tried watching the old videos that got me through last time but this time nothing. Its like I've got no emotions but at the same time I'm feeling every bad emotion possible if that makes sense.

Yeah, it makes sense. It may still be helping as a distraction though. Not to make thing easier, but just easier, even if just a little bit. Sometimes when ive been really struggling i put something on and to be honest I pay not attention at all. But just having the noise in the background and something to occupy my eyeballs is enough. Somes i just watch music videos on youtube of stuff that i like... again, it just sort of distracts me without actually paying much attention to it. Maybe its just the noise makes me feel a little less isolated... who knows.

@MJG017 the only thing it's doing is helping to pass the time. I'm actually dozing off and i can't keep my eyes open, so I'm hoping i can sleep although I'm not quite feeling right so I'm hoping it's just exhaustion and nothing else is happening.

Re: Life and trauma

@Former-Member Helping to pass the time is probably a small win right now. With the amount of sleep you had, or rather haven't, I'm sure its exhaustion. I'll hope i dont get a reply until much later and that youve manages to fall asleep and get some much needed rest.

I am glad that you got a little sleep. You must be exhausted! How are you feeling now? Can you put some music on to chill to?
