Sorry to hear that. Christmas can be very hard for many people. My mother hated Christmas because she got divorced close to Christmas. I hope that you manage to get through this season ok.

Re: Life and trauma
@Oaktree it worries me that things are already this bad and have been long before Christmas began to start coming around. I just wish things could be different. Who knows how it's all going to go at the moment.

Perhaps, try not to look too far into the future and just take things one moment at a time. Just do what you can to survive each moment. Maybe @tyme has some good advice about managing through the holidays when you find it a difficult time. She has been around here for a long time so she has seen a lot.

Re: Life and trauma
@Oaktree what future? I'm just trying to survive each second, each minute, each hour. I don't know why things are so bad right now but it's so very scary.

Hey @Former-Member ,
Would you consider calling someone to have a chat? It may break that cycle of thinking a little?

That’s valid, I remember a time when I was so depressed that I couldn’t make plans or goals. Just surviving is fine if that’s all you can manage right now. I am sitting with you.

Re: Life and trauma
@tyme i have tried talking to lifeline. I can only do so via chat but they have honestly had enough of hearing from me so I'm just getting pushed away.

Re: Life and trauma
@Oaktree that's exactly what it's like. There's nothing that I enjoy doing, i don't look forward to the future. Thankyou, I'm sorry I'm just in a really bad place at the moment and I'm trying hard to not bring others down.

It’s ok hun!
You can get through this hard time.
Unfortunately it will take time, sometimes a lot of it but one day it will get better. Imagine you are in a dark room. It is pitch black. Now look for the light switch. Imagine yourself finding that switch. Turn on the light. What do you see?
