It's ok, I can understand that.
I have to go to the stupid dentist.
A few years ago I changed my name and they refused to change it on my record there because I only had an electronic copy of the certificate on me and they treated me badly, I haven't been in a couple of years.
I bit something I shouldn't have yesterday and one of my front teeth chipped so I kind of have to deal with it now. One of my old fillings fell out a couple weeks ago too.
Hearing my old name in a dental setting is overwhelming triggering for me, hearing it at all is triggering, dentists in general are triggering. But I have my dentist survival kit and there likely won't be any treatment today, rather to book in an urgent appointment for next week.
Then I have art class and I smile

@avant-gardeuughh dentists suck at the best of times. That's frustrating that they won't change your name though, is there not an option to put a preferred name at least? They could at least show a little bit of understanding but i guess not everyone seems to have that capacity.
Hopefully it's a quick and easy appointment for you. It sounds like you are prepared for it which is great.
Art class after is exciting, do you know what you will be doing today?

@avant-garde ahh yes, gotta love the administration side of things. But yes it should be fairly easy hopefully.
New projects are always fun to start, have you got any ideas of what sort of design for your pencil case?

Re: Life and trauma
Dentist stuff is done, I got a voucher for a private dentist for the chipped tooth and on the waitlist for all the other stuff in 4-6 months

Re: Life and trauma
@avant-garde hopefully the iced coffee wakes you up a bit.
I'm sure whatever you decide to do on your pencil case will be amazing 😊

@Former-Member wrote:@MJG017 I've tried that mindset myself but I'm kids not strong enough. I don't have anything that gives me fight, I don't have any fight left in me. Every part of me it's wants to give up and let everyone win. I'm defeated.
It doesn't have to be the same mindset, it's probably different for everyone. You fight so hard and have been doing so for a long time. I understand how exhausting it is, but something keeps you going even when you thing you've had enough. You're still here so you're still fighting... something is taking over when you feel there is not fight left. Whatever this is for you, that is the key.

@MJG017 it's really just luck. There's nothing else to it 😞
