Fair enough, but it's not so much the 'negative'. Probably, it more to do with how to reframe posts to ensure they are balanced so they have a recovery focus. We can sure help you with this.
I'm mindful that life sux sometimes, and it can be dark but this is when we need each other. @Former-Member

@tyme not sure how one is supposed to recover when things are still ongoing. Life just really sucks at the moment and I'm struggling to find a way through it.

I want to share something positive that I found out today and it may not seem like much to some people but to me right now it's everything.
For the last 14 years I've been in debt with both my electricity and gas bills thanks to my ex partner that left all the debt with me. I've finally managed to get into credit with both my accounts, something I'm so very proud of cos it's been a real struggle at times and something I never thought was going to be possible.
Anyway that's put a little smile on my face today and I may or may not have done a little happy dance to celebrate.

Awww @Former-Member ,
Good on you. That's so good that you got to the point of being in credit.
I put $10 every fortnight for my bills so it helps @Former-Member
Which state do you reside in (if you don't mind me asking)? Only because you can get one-off financial support for utilities.. I helped a lady get her $800+ bill slashed.

Re: Life and trauma
@tyme I've been paying every fortnight to get to this point. The provider I'm with helped me alot by matching payments i made and i got government concessions aswell which I get off regularly. Now that I'm in credit though I need to make a phone call tomorrow and set up a new plan with them cos this one has run out now that I've gotten out of debt. That scares me having to make that phone call.

Hey @Former-Member ,
Honestly, that's really well done to you. Good on you for making it to this point. Is there a webchat option?

@tyme unfortunately not. I just have to put my big girl panties on and deal with it 😂

@Former-Member 'may not seem like much'? Nahhh that's HUGE!! Debt ruins lives, causes sooo much stress, and since our very lives are dependent on us having it, it would have felt like a constant threat to survival!! Aww I'm so incredibly happy for you, I'd be doing a very merry jig too! 😋

@Jynx it's been a big stress over my head for all those years. I'm so glad to not be in debt at all anymore. Thankyou ❤️

That's great news! It's certainly no small thing. To be in debt for that long and finally be in credit is a really good achievement. I've known a few people personally who have been in similar positions and either just keep trying to run away from the debts or just got in more debt, paying off the previous ones. Trust me, a lot of people handle situations like this far worse, so give yourself a big pat on the back.
Plus you have a little extra money each fortnight now that you've payed off this debt. That in itself must feel great. Maybe celebrate a bit and splash out and by yourself something nice to mark the occasion.... on top of the little happy dance of course.
I know we've talked before about how hard it can be to talk to people on the phone, but you can do it. It will probably feel horrible and you'll hate it, but it will be over quickly and you can forget about worrying about having to do it. Like ripping off a bandaid. Although i'd rather the pain of ripping off a bandaid than talking to someone on the phone! 😬 😲 😣 😊
