Santa day

Santa day

The 25th of December has always been a bad day for me. So much pain associated with it. Traumas from childhood. Year after year in psych wards on the day that they say should be merry.

I'm trying to move past it. To rename and reshape it. It's just Santa doesn't really tend to visit me either.

I know lots of peeps here struggle like I do with holidays, especially this one. The financial burden is high, let alone all the social fatigue, the societal expectations, etc.

I'm boycotting it this year. The 25th doesn't exist in my head. Santa, Jesus, which ever god people worship can get F#ked. They aren't real anyway so why should I devote my time for it.

I'm going to go for a drive, find a quiet beach, have a few beers, and pretend like things are great, eat lots of cheese, get sunburnt, go home, and sleep.

@The-red-centaur that makes me sad that you can’t get the help you need. Is it time to go back to your GP?

Re: Santa day

really glad to hear your support worker's been able to help with packing! definitely takes a bit of that weight of your shoulders so you can rest more. @The-red-centaur ughh sorry about the dental abscess, i definitely second @Glisten maybe a GP visit to see what support/treatment options are available would be good. i know its hard balancing getting rest and the stress of everything, hopefully your support worker is someone you can lean on some more during this time.
