No I didn’t lie to him about having a boyfriend because it is a lie because I don’t have a boyfriend I want to be with him and him only no one else

I think by being honest with him and telling him that it was a mistake telling him what you did before and that you deeply regret it and that you hope to rebuild that trust with him is important to you.

But it's important to remember that he may need some time for you to rebuild that trust with him. So by just being honest with him, letting him know how you feel and acknowledging mistakes of the past is all you can do. It's then up to him to decide. By accepting his decision and continuing with how he feels comfortable continuing on with you, it may help him to see how genuine you are. If you keep trying to convince him, they you're likely to just push him away.

Hmm. Hi @Quuen258 difficult task coz broken trust is like broken glass where even if it's fixed back together the fracture lines always are there 😔

I honestly think if you keep trying to tell him that it wont achieve anything other that to annoy him. As I said, just be honest and give him time and just hope that he will trust you again. Unfortunately it will take time and you can't force it. Maybe just talking to him about it and asking how he feels and if he sees a future. At the very least it will show him that you do care about how he feels and are willing to try and repair the relationship. As I said, it's not the sort of thing you can force.

Well the only person that I want to be with is him because I have very strong feelings for him still and I really do love him still

Re: I want to have some advice on something

hey @Quuen258 i can see that you very much love this person and want to be with him. i'm glad you've told him the truth and he's forgiven you - but rebuilding trust does take time. i can understand that you feel very strongly about this person, but like @MJG017 mentioned, part of caring about someone also means giving them the opportunity and space to process things on their own. if someone lied to me, i know i'd need some time to feel my feelings and decide my next steps. giving space shows that you really respect this person's feelings (and if you rush into it/push the person to talk when they're not ready, it will probably make things worse instead).

once he's ready to talk, you can perhaps ask him what would help in rebuilding that trust and work on from there. rebuilding trust is possible, but like we said, it won't be rebuilt in a day... the pace will be slow.

i know that waiting for the response you want to hear can create a lot of anxiety at times. is there anything that helps you feel calm?

No not really I just really want to talk to him about it and I also just want him to know that I don’t have a boyfriend at all and I just want him to know that he is the one the I choose to be with in a relationship
