the only other pet i have is goldfishes! well actually there's only 1 in the tank. we wanted to get more but we're a bit worried cos we suspect that the current fish attacked the previous ones...

Hhaha @rav3n if he’s the only fish in there he might be the culprit 🤣. I wonder if you did get more fish if you have to get bigger fish so he can’t pick on them lol. I don’t know much about fish though but find them interesting, their pecking orders and if they aren’t doing well you can tell by there tail is that right?

I love snorkelling, just came to me since we have been talking about fish! 🤿

@Chasingsunsets funny enough, the last finish that 'mysteriously' died was bigger than the current fish 😅 he's such a menace! my mum did joke about getting a 'fighter fish', apparently those tend to be quite quick and feisty.

i've never been snorkeling! that and scuba diving are on my bucket list. do you like adrenaline-inducing activities like skydiving, rollercoasters, etc?

yes i absolutely will! even i want more bunnies now hehe.

@Cuddlebear handed keys over to real estate agent today and they got the photos for listing done! So good to have that off my plate now. Then had my regular remedial massage (ouch - but always feels much better after!)

A quick (unhealthy) lunch now and then I will take the dogs to an enclosed dog park to run and then a cafe.

@rav3n @Chasingsunsets i used to have tropical fish and one goldfish, all in a 4ft tank. I "inherited" the goldfish as emergency accommodation and it grew so big in the warm water and large tank that it had to stay until end of life. But it was actually the peace-keeper of the tank because of its size.

I had a tiger barb that used to attack any other orange or red fish in the tank - like my guppies, for example. But then came this orange goldfish that was bigger and grew even bigger still. The tiger barb seemed to stop attacking the orange guppies also! It was weird but good.

Oh @rav3n that’s so interesting maybe we can’t blame him then 😆

I tried the up and gos I got the energiser ones. Maybe I need to try the normal ones was a bit strong for me or the coffee flavour didn’t taste as good lol. I’ll get the normal banana ones and see!

Oh really you haven’t been snorkelling, it’s soooooo much fun! I really really enjoy it any chance I get if on holidays etc. Our last one was cancelled due to the swell 🙃. I do love diving too just a lot more scary mostly just at the start, but I just do supported dives so you are always with an instructor and don’t go too deep ☺️. I recommend both, just amazing to watch all the animals swimming around doing there thing! And so peaceful! I was lucky enough to see a few turtles too which was so cool, never seen a stingray or manta ray I’d love to see one, one day!

Believe it or not I don’t love adrenaline inducing activities hahah but do love nature and animals which is probably why I had the push to try diving!

How about yourself have you done sky diving or anything like that?

@AlwaysMyself your gold fish sounded massive!! Yes fish are funny creatures I wonder why your tiger barb stopped attacking maybe it finally just became happy to live with the others lol

@AlwaysMyself hahaha i love that it became the peacekeeper of the tank! i'm also so curious to know how big it was, i feel like i'm imagining it too big in my head 😆

@Chasingsunsets thanks for the review! i don't mind a strong coffee taste as long as there's a bit of sweetness to it so i might give it a go! fingers crossed you like the banana one - and apologies in advance if you end up hating it!

aww that's so cool!!! when you said that, i just pictured the intro of lilo and stitch and how she swims by the lil sea creatures. a part of me loves the water but the other part of me has a fear of the ocean haha. i like rollercoasters and stuff, i've done sky diving and bungy jumping (i did the one where they tie the rope around your waist, but i want to try the feet one!) - i loved them both! but i do feel like the older i get, the more apprehensive i've become of those activities.

@AlwaysMyself are you into adrenaline-type of activities?

@rav3n @Chasingsunsets i found some photos of the fish. Keep in mind the tank was a 4ft (1.2m) wide tank, so when you see this, consider the scale and the other fish in these photos weren't small either for their species.

 That giant orange thing? Yep, goldfish .

The fish below it? A silver shark, which was very large for its species (6yo?).

To the right near the filter? That's a dwarf gourami.

How big was that goldfish... from memory, the body (exclude tail) would have been abit over 15cm? Then add the tail size too.

Im glad I have this photo. Evidence my crazy sized goldfish was real 🤣. I used to grumble at how much he would eat. Id drop sucker-fish tablets into the tank for my bristlenose, ghostknife and loach, but the darn goldfish would steal it on the way down - it could fit the whole tablet in its mouth!!! 😮

As for adrenaline rides. Nope nope nope nope. Im unashamedly a woose 🤣🤣. Snorkling though, yes I will do - and hopefully will be doing on my upcoming trip. I love watching wildlife and so snorkling fits the watching fish etc.

I did go on some rides at Universal Studio Japan, but I did not enjoy the Hollywood ride because its too much adrenaline 🤣🤣🤣.

I had a psychiatrist who said that I should take up adrenaline sports to feel more alive / excitement /energy. 🫣 there was no chance of that happening lol.

@AlwaysMyself omg that fish is actually massive never seen one as big as that 15cm tail not included is truely epic!

Haha @rav3n, the coffee one felt like I was just drinking vitamins lol tasted healthy but not like a big m 😆. I am wondering and hoping it was just the protein taste and I’ll like the normal ones!

@AlwaysMyself that’s cool about your upcoming holiday and snorkeling that would be so cool! Keep us posted on your adventures and what you get to see if you go snorkeling!! Have you ever tried diving?

@Chasingsunsets I have never done diving, but I would like to try. Although I hear the diving wetsuits can be a bit of a struggle to get into and out of 😬. But I have a diving mask I use for snorkelling, because I needed a prescription. I bought it when I went to Vanuatu on a cruise and knew id go snorkelling with a friend. So I am glad to be using it again. 😊 and the water naturally magnifies a little too so it doesnt matter that my eyesight has slightly deteriorated in the years in between. I'll still be able to see fairly well underwater.

@rav3n @Chasingsunsets not sure if have tried the Energiser ones either, but I saw them on the weekend and saw they were coffee flavour and wondered if they were nice - but decided id wait until they're were on a half price sale lol.

I tried the No Added Suger ones once but did not like them.

Dont recall trying the Dairy Free ones though.

I dont mind the normal chocolate ones. Dont think ive tries banana ones!

As for goldfish age, I honestly dont remember how old he was. He would have been a year or few when I inherited him. And I certainly had him for a few years at least after that. He didn't appear to die from any disease, so I assume normal age related death?? I did joke that hes nearly big enough to make a meal out of 😅. Obs could not flush him down the toilet 😉.

@Chasingsunsets @AlwaysMyself i just realised you've been talking about the protein/energiser versions but i was talking about the normal up & go's 😅 so i have noooo idea how the protein banana would taste... i'm hoping it's as good as the regular ones!
