Study Group

  • @MJG017 @tyme @Jynx @rav3n @Ru-bee

Hi guys,

Looking for all those that are intending to study in 2025 to complete the cert IV Mental Health Peer Work.

This is a space for our study group, where we can discuss what we are studying and hopefully get some input from current Sane Peer support workers.

Re: Study Group

I had a chat with the Pre-Training Review officer yesterday & looks like all is good to go.

Now I’ll be having a 1:1 meeting with the teacher via MS teams next week just for him to go through with what’s required & for me to ask him any questions - I assume this one’s the final stage before I get accepted into the course, so I hope that will go well too. I was told that this teacher is a lovely person so I hope he’ll give me a good impression when we meet.

i hope I can pay the course via the concession fee since im a concession card holder.

@AlwaysMyself I’ve applied for the Certificate IV of Mental Health Peer Work course, and I’m quite excited for it honestly since it looks like I’ve already found an organisation that I can source my placements with!! ☺️❤️ it’s the organisation I’ve just started volunteering 2 weeks ago (they are mental health peer led based) so I’m looking forward!!

Re: Study Group

Thank you my friend @AlwaysMyself and yes, the past few weeks have been a lot for me in terms of all of the course choices that I’ve been talking to you and one other user here about lol but I’m glad that thats now over and that I don’t need to worry about needing to end up studying something that I won’t end up enjoying otherwise ☺️

Re: Study Group

Hi @rav3n it’s very nice to see you again!! I haven’t seen you active on here in ages haha

I hope your time back to uni has been good so far & that you’re not feeling too burnt out at the moment! Are you doing a postgraduate degree?

I’m ok. Being a student is easy enough for me to keep myself occupied throughout the day and not worry or think too much about anything in life.

Re: Study Group

@Blackcloud it's so good to see you too!! yes it's been a while hey 🙃

yep, postgraduate studies - so far i've been balancing it okay, i am trying to keep any eye on signs of burn out so i can get support early as possible.

i'm glad that your studies has helped you stay busy, it's nice having something else to focus on at times. 😊

I can’t believe that this will be your last day on here. But I hope it all goes well for you with your postgrad studies & you’ll be missed by many of us here. ❤️❤️❤️ I’m sure you’ll smash your way through postgrad as you did when you studied your undergrad!!💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
