I know what it’s like to struggle with your studies. I am doing really well and am at the top of the class but twice I have wanted to quit because I was stressed and overwhelmed. I am currently stressing about roleplays that I have coming up

@Oaktree it feels like something much pressure. I'm really overwhelmed by it and struggling to manage all the balls I have in the air, including study. I can only tackle study in small doses and the content itself is really heavy. I have to work between moments of brain fog and a nervous system that can't decide whether it wants to curl up in a ball and wave the white flag, or storming the castle. And I'm finding less moments of clarity where my brain can function in study mode.
I tried to reach out to student support and as soon as they found out I don't have a diagnosis, they basically can't help me and haven't responded to my last email re supports and advice for study.

I would advise you to take baby steps and not think too far ahead. Just do what you can when you can. If you are struggling you can email your lecturers to get support or to move a deadline. You may need a doctors certificate to get an extension. It is overwhelming but I know you can do it. Don’t give up

Despite the urge to cut and run before the role plays began, I am doing well in them. Getting some great feedback as well. I have so far done 4 out of 6 role plays so I just have one week of them left. They have left a tricky one for last and we have to do a reflection afterwards which is scarier than the actual role plays. I feel really proud of myself that I am taking these role plays one at a time so they don’t get too terrifying. I think interviews in the real world would be easier because I would have some notes to use as opposed to these role plays where its all memory.

it’s always challenging to integrate theory with practice and role plays are all about embodiment and interaction.
I did a few years of them when I was doing Psychodrama, although they had some set protocols… it was back in the 1990s…. It might be different now. Another practice I am grateful for which helped me survive.

I am not officially enrolled in a course, but a dreadful nerd and always studying unofficially. Its just my natural way of being.
I love that you chose to study that course @NightFury Big Respect for you caring about the kids…
Today I had a beautiful day with a trio, including a retired conductor and retired allied health worker. We were analysing and studying the music, and our contributions and group dynamics. Its a privilege to work alongside talented reflective individuals.

Well done @Oaktree just the thought of role plays make me nervous, so it sounds like you're actually doing really well.
I got the results of my last assignment - the one I attempted to get an extension for and it was declined. I ended up with a HD. Not bad for a 2500 word literature review written in 6 hours.
I have my last assignment for this unit due at midnight on Sunday.
