Hi guys,
Looking for all those that are intending to study in 2025 to complete the cert IV Mental Health Peer Work.
This is a space for our study group, where we can discuss what we are studying and hopefully get some input from current Sane Peer support workers.

I think the ad says 'and relevant studies' @Oaktree . So yes, the Cert in Peer Work is included because you can't get a degree in peer work. Peer workers are the experts!
ErghhhH! I agree about the role plays! I HATED them. Uni is different because they assign you to work with people. But in the diplomas and certificates, they ask you to do it with a friend or someone. I don't think this is right that I drag someone into it. And then, does that mean that if you don't have a person to do it with, then you fail?
I think a solution is that you get paired with a group to do it with - people who are doing the course already.
It's like when I did the ASIST MH training. We did role plays with each other. That was okay.

Yes we do role plays with fellow students but for some units we will be doing the role plays with actors.

I plan to undertake an undergraduate certificate in mental health for the June intake after I complete the 2 fine art units I’m currently doing, which is gonna be around the time that I relocate to another student accomodation that’s quite far from where I live now 🥲
that mental health UGC is fully online as well so that’s not an issue for me.
im currently working on an essay for art history and I’m dreading it a bit but it’ll be due for a month🙃

@tyme no worries, I'm actually quite excited to start this mental health/psychology degree not gonna lie, as someone whose always been passionate about psychology in general i cant wait to start it!!

& now that I think about it too, what I’m also going through right now is another way to trigger that thought of wanting June to come by quickly (and can’t wait) to start this course right away, then get into the psychology degree
