Not convinced it'll ever get better

I hope you are both well.
Please excuse my silence I've been on the move as you may remember.

I am now back in Melbourne. It's been a very busy and challenging few months, but I'm back with friends and the support network that got me through the last few yrs.

I have begun my SANE 14 week Support Program and it is very nice to know that I have the additional support and guidance from the councillor and forthcoming group meeting next week.

I am now on the search for employment as that is my primary focus aside from getting the help I need with my mental health.

Thank you for asking @tyme I will aim to be more present and engaged.

Wow. Sounds like you have been super busy @11235812 ! I'm glad you have the additional supports in place.

All the best with finding work. I recognise work can bring a lot of stability for people, financially, routine-wise, emotionally etc.

I have worked as a Snr. Designer/Art Director, creative problem solver for over 30 yrs.
You are so right. Work brings a raft of positives and the ability to move forward and grow.
It impacts my self worth and that toys with my confidence.

Something will come.

I would love to be in business with someone or a group of creatives.
I lack the confidence in myself and abilities to do the solo gig. Having attempted to run my own business before I simply struggled to set effective boundaries with clients yada yada yada.

There are many opportunities and possibilities so I just have to stay positive.

Absolutely @11235812 . For me, in the past, it's been word of mouth. I just do one project for fun, and before I know it, I get all these design requests.

I guess it starts off as a little hobby, and if it works out, THEN turn it into a business???

It's important to do something you enjoy.
