  • my Kidney function have decreased to 17%
  • my Liver and diabetes levels are up
  • I have Osteoporosis which i will need medication as my bone density has decreased because of the kidney disease
  • they believe that the Liver function is up because of the kidney disease
  • Kidney disease affects every part of your body

Re: One Day at a time here

@Shaz51 sorry to hear you've been getting pain in the mornings. It does make sense if your kidneys are processing less overnight and the toxins build up more than they do in the day.

I'm interested to know what your specialist says when you mention it to them (but only if you're comfortable sharing) - i find learning about these things really interesting, as well as having the opportunity to understand your conditions and life better and support you through it.

I do remember you mentioning having to develop-grow the fisulas for 6+ months before dialysis, as @Dimity mentioned. Is that something you have already commenced in preparation for the future? Or is it something that only commences if the blood tests start to o.e back worse rather than stable?

(Curious if there are reasons for why it is not recommended to prepare them in advance, e.g. risks to other aspects of health?)

Hi there @Shaz51 thanks for your update, how’s things with your kidney buddy going? What’s your thoughts on potential dialysis sooner?
I hope you have had a good day sorry I haven’t been able to get on today I really appreciate all your tags and for thinking of me ☀️

Re: One Day at a time here

@Shaz51 I'm sorry to hear that 😔, I hope your specialist can help alleviate some of the discomfort and find a solution for you

I get aches from my healing foot injury. I decided to invest in some joint and mobility supplements to see if they help. I also use topical magnesium oil. Purely nsaid free here, not getting another stomach ulcer. Two were traumatising enough 😅

How do you usually alleviate your discomfort?

but have not heard from her for 2 days now ( maybe have to ask her how often she wants to chat )

I am not sure of your relationship history -- ? can you explain a bit more

had some blood tests done today for my kidney specialist appointment in 2 weeks time

I was wondering how you knew this friend/how you connected? @Shaz51 🥰 Have you been emailing over the weekend?

Re: One Day at a time here

@Shaz51 early days. Fingers crossed she's a good friend. Sounds as though she might have filled you in some things already.

Re: One Day at a time here

Hope she is OK @Shaz51 .

Not sure what you feel comfortable with, but if you wanted to send a follow-up to check if she is OK and that she got your reply (rather than lost to cyberspace void) i reckon that would be quite and OK thing to do.

Hello @AlwaysMyself , @AuntGlow , @tyme , @Till23 , @Dimity , @Appleblossom , @Chasingsunsets @Rosepetal96 , @Healandlove

I have found out why I have a lot of pain in the early mornings

I did not know if it was the osteoporosis or kidney disease or both

well it is because of toxins that the kidney can not get rid of so it sits in the body causing pain so I will be bringing this up with my doctor and my kidney specialist

How are you feeling about this insight @Shaz51? And when will you get to see your doctor next?

I hope this helps you to get the support you need to alleviate the pain you're experiencing. 💖

Re: One Day at a time here

@AuntGlow 😊

Saw the doctor and she thinks the pain might be gallbladder so have to go for a scan

See the kidney specialist next week

And my parathyroid levels are very high because of the kidney disease so see what they think

I will be sending lots of healing energy your way. ✨
