Hi @Appleblossom how are you. I find music helps me. I can't sing, even in the shower, but sometimes I will sing when driving in my car, not quite your level of music!

Haha gotta avoid the footy-lovers hey @Appleblossom I'm the same 😋

Yeah music is magic for sure!! @Till23 @Shaz51

Did you know that singing stimulates the vagus nerve? Can help calm us down!! I think it's why some monks will do that ommmmmmmmm thingy! So I say, who gives a hoot if we sing well or not, it's good for us!!

Re: One Day at a time here

@Jynx yes, the vagus nerve is interesting, singing also stimulates the thymus gland. Yep it is good for us, on many levels.

@Till23 If singing feels good, enjoy it. I don’t have a great voice. I have a little training. I am more of an all rounder. Today was more early music and ensemble playing. Tomorrow will have more.

My son knew who won the football before me. Yay, probably the first year he has been in that conversation. We are finally Aussie! Oi Oi Oi.

Yes @Appleblossom I just sing when I'm by myself, I don't worry how I sound. When I'm with other people I just keep quiet but sing along in my head or very quietly. But yes it definitely helps raise your spirits.

Yes you sound very multitalented with your different instruments and music and you can't sing with a recorder in your mouth 😂

Re: One Day at a time here

thanks @Till23

actually there is a modern technique where you do sing into the beak of the instrument and it makes a buzzing sound in pitch. lol…

Re: One Day at a time here

Only 10 minutes of music practice today. Shopped, cooked, gardened and read book on developmental psychology by Louise Harms. She has a good chapter on grief. I seem to be passing through the range of emotions. I joked about something in grief theory with a friend, which surprised me but seems healing.

hope you are well @Shaz51 @Till23 @Dimity
