I've been catching up a bit and can see how disheartening and hurtful its been when your family don't show that care when you give them updates. It is beautiful to see the support from the community here though, and I hope you feel that support and love here always 💜

Sorry it's taken a while to catch up here. Only just read of your understandable heartbreak at the lack of response from family members regarding your health updates.

As disappointing as it is, and uncaring as it seems, at your families lack of response. I would suggest that you continue to give them the courtesy of providing them with updates. It's probably really hard for them knowing you have these major health challenges. And they simply don't know how to respond. It's highly unlikely that they don't care, in fact quite the opposite. I suspect you have always been the strong one in the family, the unsinkable one. To now see you as vulnerable does not fit well with them, and they don't know how to handle it.
