Am Not Coping

Am Not Coping

I am really not coping at the moment but this is entirely on ME!

This is a message for a few people on here @utopia @Former-Member @Faith-and-Hope @Former-Member

that I asked could be passed on but it seems that only part of it has been and I understand from the responses that have made it through my emails that I have caused untold distress for some people. I was not going to return because of what I felt I put people through but I especially wanted @utopia and @Former-Member to know that they were not wrong at the time and I was going through a real crisis period. You both held me together for longer than I could myself until the point where my own self-destructive thoughts overwhelmed me.

The entire message that I sent to SANE is below:

I have just viewed the multitude of emails and messages sent from forum members and members of the SANE team – as well as the text and voice message left on my phone.

I have not been able to communicate with anyone since the other night as I have been recovering from what ended up being an unsuccessful attempt to end the pain.

At the time I was in a very distressed state and I did want to stop the pain and all I seemed to achieve is to cause others pain and worry and that is the last thing I wanted to do – I just wanted to end mine and say goodbye to everyone beforehand so my future absence was explained. I should have realised that the message I posted would have concerned some people but I really was not in any state to think about the repercussions for others.

I am so sorry I caused so much distress to others – that is something I will have to hopefully try and live with.

I don’t believe after the concern and anxiety I caused to so many that I will ever be able to return to the forum.

Can someone from the SANE team please explain all this to all those involved and pass on my gratitude for their compassion, concerns and kind words throughout the time I have been part of the ‘forum family’.

Thank you and sorry again for the difficult position I put everyone in.

Zoe7

I do not want any responses from any of you. I just wanted to let you know exactly what has happened and let you know how truly sorry I am for hurting people I have come to think of as friends and family, and who I really care about.

Your support, advice and compassion are what make you all the wonderful people you are.

@utopia and @Former-Member I am so sorry that the trust you placed in me has now been broken because of my actions. I also felt that we had a stronger connection, especially over the last week, and you both helped me in ways I cannot even describe or explain. I was not pulling away from you two - just wanted to pull away from myself. I couldn't cope with my own feelings and no-one or nothing was actually going to be able to stop me at the time. It's now just another failure to add to my list of failures. I really don't know what else to say to you both but to reiterate my heartfelt 'sorry'.

Re: Am Not Coping

@Zoe7. No the mess won't help with your mood. But then when you are struggling - cleaning up is a near impossible task to do. I really understand that.
Yes - I made calls here there and everywhere to see a dentist. Just got a call for a cancelation today at midday. An hr drive away. Right near where I'm meant to be at work. No didn't go in today.
I'm so tired - but I'll make the drive and get my teeth seen to. When I'm depressed - my physical pain is hightened & I can't handle it. And then because I'm in pain - my depression gets worse. It's a cycle.
You should see the big muddy craters my dogs made in my backyard. Huge. Digging to China I think.
Abbey loves the rain amd mud. Of course she does. Her coat is the longest and is white!!!
You did more than enough yesterday. That's a lot to manage when you're not well.
So today is a day of rest. Of easy. Of breathing. Of snoozing on the couch. And receiving love from Cat and Toby.
I'm sorry the community mental health Service was so incompetent. It might be better now. But you and your gp know what you need. She will keep pushing for you to see someone else. She'll get you an appointment soon. I'm sure. When do you see your psychologist next?
I better jump in the shower and brush my sore mouth and teeth and head out for the drive. Just looking forward to being pain free and sleeping.
Love to you.

Re: Am Not Coping

Yep @utopia Can't manage to do anything today

I am so glad you got an appointment. Hopefully they can fix your teeth and take away the pain really quickly and youo can start feeling a bit better. It really is a vicious cycle - pain heightens depression heightens pain etc. etc.

My GP has given me a script for my pain meds that hopefully won't make me feel so sick - only happens occassionally - but she doesn't want to take the risk at the moment because of exactly that kind of cycle. That is when I don't remember what I have actually taken - or if I've taken anything - and it becomes a risk. I also need to try and remember to write down times and amounts of meds so I can hopefully keep track myself. The riskiest time is during the night when I get up (or am starting to 'space out') and am only slightly awake and really don't think about what I've already taken.

Toby is all white like Abbey. We know he loves the beach and the sand but he also loves playing with the water from the hose and will then he will roll around in the dirt - little bugger takes a lot of looking after - but don't care - love my little buddy so much!!!

I can't see my psychologist again until at least the 14 Feb. Can't pay for the private sessions at the moment and not sure if I can pay the medicare gap then either. It really is just a waiting game until mu GP sorts things out for me.

Goodluck at the dentist - hope it all goes well and your tooth is fixed and you are pain free quickly.

Love to you and all your family (human and furry)

@Zoe7 and @utopia

Utopia - I guess you are at the dentist now and I will be waiting to hear how you went

And Zoe - it is hard waiting for financial help - and it may take a while to get it - but I am pretty sure that you will get the money backdated from when you applied - not that it helps you right now

But I wish you both all the best and it is great the way you are helping each other out

Re: Am Not Coping

@Decadian Yes it will be backdated but so worried about how I'm going to get by in the interim. I'll leave it in the hands of my GP for now -she is doing whatever she can to speed up the process.

Yes @utopia has been a great support for me. There have also been many others over the last few weeks.

@Faith-and-Hope has kept me company and kept me going throughout those nights that I have been really struggling.

And messages from others, including yourself, have been extremely important for me to know I have support around. Even though it doesn't always feel like it when I am really low - it does matter to me.

Re: Am Not Coping

I am glad it will be backdated @Zoe7 - but yeah - how do you cope in the meantime

Have you been able to get any food vouchers - and with things like rent and utilities - how are you coping with those items

Making you wait like this with no income is really tough - I know - I went through this myself and it tore me up - I did have some money saved but I went right through that in a few weeks

I wish I could send you some money - alas that's impossible - I will be thinking of you about this -

Re: Am Not Coping

@Decadian All my savings are gone. I had my 'just in cae' fund that has been spent on vet bills. Have to take my little boy to the vet tomorrow - hoping he won't need an operation Hopefully my vet will hold over payment for me for a while - she's really lovely and has know me for a long time so I am not afraid to ask.

I need to see my bank about my mortgage - just haven't had the energy. Will wait until I see my GP tomorrow to see how far she has got with everything for me. Then I can think a bit more about the next steps I take. I have enough food for now - probably because I haven't been eating much. I know this is not good for me but everytime I eat I feel really sick so it's a vicious cycle.

The rest of the bills coming in I'll deal with later - too much to think about all at once.

Your so sweet @Decadian I wouldn't take your money anyway - way too independent for that - even now when I have nothing - there are people much worse off in the world! It is stressful but I'll manage somehow xxx

Re: Am Not Coping

@Decadian @Zoe7. Walked in to dentist - explained I couldn't even identify which tooth was hurting (I have a lot of bad teeth - been on the dental waiting list for forever). He took one look in my mouth & said - there's the problem tooth - no wonder you're in pain. It will have to be pulled. I've already had 3 other teeth pulled & am in danger of more going the same way - while I wait on the public dental list. But it's pulled now. Mouth still numb - but I can feel the gum starting to throb. Just took 2 over the counter everyday weak pain med - starting with P. Mum will drop off something stronger late this afternoon if I need it.
I really wish they would just pull all my teeth and give me falsies. I know they don't like to do that. But my teeth have been neglected for so long. And I'd love a nice smile. So hard when you have no money for these things.
@Zoe7 - why not send an email to your bank manager - in a day or two when your up to it -& eexplain what you need and for approx how long & due to your health at the moment - no need to tell him what health issue - you would like to arrange this all via email & then just come into the bank for 5 minutes - if you have to sign anything. You can always tell the bank manager you are contagious - I'm sure it can then be done via email. Take a bit of the worry off your shoulders. And you don't have to do it today - just in the next few days - when you are feeling up to it.
Toby and Abbey would have a ball together in the mud. Max my ratter & jack Russell doesn'tlike ggoing out in the rain. The precious thing hates getting his feet wet. Strange different personality types - my three.
But they do entertain.
Toby will be happy once the grass seed is removed. And yiu will have money to pay for it - as soon as your insurance comes through. I'm sure your vet will understand.
I'm judt going to relax for the next hour and then have a snooze

Re: Am Not Coping

@utopia Can't believe they pulled a tooth and didn't give you anything stronger!! I'd send you some of mine but - whoops none left!!!!!! and GP won't give me anything as strong for now - just in case!!!!

You could buy some of those false teeth lollies for now to give yourself a nice smile LOL

My bank manager is near where I work (not at the moment LOL) and she is really nice. I think I'll just wait a bit longer - my next payment isn't until next month so I have a bit of time for that. I am really hoping it will all be sorted before that and I won't have to see her at all.

Toby and Abbey would have a great time in the mud then we'd have to bath both of them -and then we'd be covered in mud!!!!!

Hope you are relaxing and having a good snooze.

Zoe

Re: Am Not Coping

@Zoe7. I don't mind needing a tooth pulled. I don't want to be 60 or 70 or 80 & needing to have fillings replaced. I don't want pain then. And I think the lollie teeth as well as his mates - are why my teeth are so bad.
I think I'll be okay with the over the counter meds. A sore gum is better than a painful tooth. And my mum always has a supply of meds - due to her medical conditions (see decadians new thread - I wrote a little about mum there).
And I know I'm doing the wrong thing - but the whisky I drank when I got home has helped. Lol.
Instead of a sandpit - I should make a dirt/mud pit for Abbey. She would LOVE IT! And Toby could visit for play dates.
Have seen online - doggy day care & longer stay care - where dogs can play in mud and swim in dams. I'd love to be a dog there. Looks like great fun. Think the place I saw is outside Sydney.

Re: Am Not Coping

Oh @utopia Whisky as a painkiller LOL - why doesn't that surprise me - you naughty little Cocky!!!!

Bugger the dogs going to play in the mud and swim in dams - they can stay home and we could go (maybe we'd take them with us - who am I kidding I wouldn't leave my little buddy - he goes everywhere with me).

Just read your post on Dec's thread about your Mum - good resource for pain meds then! She must be a pretty strong woman to deal with that (and with you LOL LOL LOL - now I'm just being cheeky!!!)

Hope you don't have too much pain in your gum - eating will be a bit of a problem - definitely no lolly teeth or his mates for a while!!
