Am Not Coping

Am Not Coping

I am really not coping at the moment but this is entirely on ME!

This is a message for a few people on here @utopia @Former-Member @Faith-and-Hope @Former-Member

that I asked could be passed on but it seems that only part of it has been and I understand from the responses that have made it through my emails that I have caused untold distress for some people. I was not going to return because of what I felt I put people through but I especially wanted @utopia and @Former-Member to know that they were not wrong at the time and I was going through a real crisis period. You both held me together for longer than I could myself until the point where my own self-destructive thoughts overwhelmed me.

The entire message that I sent to SANE is below:

I have just viewed the multitude of emails and messages sent from forum members and members of the SANE team – as well as the text and voice message left on my phone.

I have not been able to communicate with anyone since the other night as I have been recovering from what ended up being an unsuccessful attempt to end the pain.

At the time I was in a very distressed state and I did want to stop the pain and all I seemed to achieve is to cause others pain and worry and that is the last thing I wanted to do – I just wanted to end mine and say goodbye to everyone beforehand so my future absence was explained. I should have realised that the message I posted would have concerned some people but I really was not in any state to think about the repercussions for others.

I am so sorry I caused so much distress to others – that is something I will have to hopefully try and live with.

I don’t believe after the concern and anxiety I caused to so many that I will ever be able to return to the forum.

Can someone from the SANE team please explain all this to all those involved and pass on my gratitude for their compassion, concerns and kind words throughout the time I have been part of the ‘forum family’.

Thank you and sorry again for the difficult position I put everyone in.

Zoe7

I do not want any responses from any of you. I just wanted to let you know exactly what has happened and let you know how truly sorry I am for hurting people I have come to think of as friends and family, and who I really care about.

Your support, advice and compassion are what make you all the wonderful people you are.

@utopia and @Former-Member I am so sorry that the trust you placed in me has now been broken because of my actions. I also felt that we had a stronger connection, especially over the last week, and you both helped me in ways I cannot even describe or explain. I was not pulling away from you two - just wanted to pull away from myself. I couldn't cope with my own feelings and no-one or nothing was actually going to be able to stop me at the time. It's now just another failure to add to my list of failures. I really don't know what else to say to you both but to reiterate my heartfelt 'sorry'.

I can imaging Toby going crazy when you get home @Zoe7 . They certainly are excited when we have been out and come back home. It really is unconditional love. Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside too.

The kids are going well. Miss had a birthday party yesterday with a sleepover so has come home pretty tired. Mr is his same chilled self. I am lucky because they really are good kids. Even with Miss being a teenager, she hasn't got a lot of attitude.

Re: Am Not Coping

You really do sound like you have wonderful kids @Snowie That is a reflection on you too Hon so you should be so proud

It also sounds like you are doing much better than you had been - you can hear it in your words here and it is wonderful to read. Do you feel like you are doing better - often it is a slow process but when we realise that we can tackle every day with just a little bit of hope it certainly does make a difference.

Re: Am Not Coping

Thanks @Zoe7 . I am sure the testing times are still to come!!!

I do feel like I am doing better. I am still having some side effects to the meds but they are settling down. I think the pdoc will cease one med tomorrow and hopefully the rest will stay the same dosage. I feel my meds are starting to help in a positive way too. It has been awhile since I had any thoughts of SH which I am really happy about too. It seems things are slowly starting to fall into place.

Re: Am Not Coping

It really does sound like it Hon and I am so pleased for you. We have certainly been on a rough road for so long now so it really warms my heart to hear you are doing so well. Like everything it is not a cure but when the meds are working it certainly helps. I hope it is onwards and upwards for you @Snowie - you have done so much of the tough stuff and deserve this so much. Much love and many hugs coming your way and a huge smile from me to you for the 'feeling better'

Re: Am Not Coping

We have had it rough for awhile now @Zoe7. You have come so far too hon. Who would have thought a year ago you would be back at work. I think it goes to show we can continue on and get through those down moments and come out the other side

Re: Am Not Coping

Yes @Snowie who would have though I would be back at work and you would be on the up as well. All that we have been through to get to this point and yet we have survived - I still think it is a miracle that I am back at work and despite all that I went through last year I didn't quit and now am at a wonderful school - it truly is a wonderful thing. I am still struggling with some nightmares but the intensity of them is certainly diminished. I wish they would go away all together but have to deal with them when they come up. How are you going with your nightmares?

Re: Am Not Coping

My nightmares are still there @Zoe7 yet they don't have the intensity that they used too. They still wake me up but I don't feel like the whole thing is happening again. I am hoping with time that they disappear altogether but not counting on it.

Will say goodnight hon, have to leave early tomorrow for the course. Sleep well and hope work goes good tomorrow for you @Zoe7

Re: Am Not Coping

Same here Hon. Mostly for me theyr are parts of history repeating themselves but they are also different events intertwined and that is hard to deal with at times. The intensity for me is not the same as they used to be either so that is a really good thing @Snowie

I don't think mine will ever completely go either but the after effects are certainly more manageable at present.

Goodnight sweet Snowie. Hope your day tomorrow is a good one. Catch you another time Hon - s usual it has been wonderful chatting to you tonight
