Am Not Coping

Am Not Coping

I am really not coping at the moment but this is entirely on ME!

This is a message for a few people on here @utopia @Former-Member @Faith-and-Hope @Former-Member

that I asked could be passed on but it seems that only part of it has been and I understand from the responses that have made it through my emails that I have caused untold distress for some people. I was not going to return because of what I felt I put people through but I especially wanted @utopia and @Former-Member to know that they were not wrong at the time and I was going through a real crisis period. You both held me together for longer than I could myself until the point where my own self-destructive thoughts overwhelmed me.

The entire message that I sent to SANE is below:

I have just viewed the multitude of emails and messages sent from forum members and members of the SANE team – as well as the text and voice message left on my phone.

I have not been able to communicate with anyone since the other night as I have been recovering from what ended up being an unsuccessful attempt to end the pain.

At the time I was in a very distressed state and I did want to stop the pain and all I seemed to achieve is to cause others pain and worry and that is the last thing I wanted to do – I just wanted to end mine and say goodbye to everyone beforehand so my future absence was explained. I should have realised that the message I posted would have concerned some people but I really was not in any state to think about the repercussions for others.

I am so sorry I caused so much distress to others – that is something I will have to hopefully try and live with.

I don’t believe after the concern and anxiety I caused to so many that I will ever be able to return to the forum.

Can someone from the SANE team please explain all this to all those involved and pass on my gratitude for their compassion, concerns and kind words throughout the time I have been part of the ‘forum family’.

Thank you and sorry again for the difficult position I put everyone in.

Zoe7

I do not want any responses from any of you. I just wanted to let you know exactly what has happened and let you know how truly sorry I am for hurting people I have come to think of as friends and family, and who I really care about.

Your support, advice and compassion are what make you all the wonderful people you are.

@utopia and @Former-Member I am so sorry that the trust you placed in me has now been broken because of my actions. I also felt that we had a stronger connection, especially over the last week, and you both helped me in ways I cannot even describe or explain. I was not pulling away from you two - just wanted to pull away from myself. I couldn't cope with my own feelings and no-one or nothing was actually going to be able to stop me at the time. It's now just another failure to add to my list of failures. I really don't know what else to say to you both but to reiterate my heartfelt 'sorry'.

Re: Am Not Coping

Hi @Shaz51

Didn't have the energy to move the tv so laying on the couch. Toby is asleep on the cushion behind me. Might even stay here for the night. There's not much on tv anyway - pretty much over all the shows on these days - too much violence etc.soooo depressing!!!!! Doesn't help in reducing stress and anxiety and dealing with triggers - so just avoid watching.

How has your day been? How are you feeling tonight?

Re: Am Not Coping

@Zoe7. A smile is still a smile. Only Mrs Brown could get you to do that tonight. Although she'd just probably tell you to "Feck off". She is a rude one.

I'm doing okay tonight. Nothing much on TV, so watching silly people marry at first signt. lol.

Re: Am Not Coping

@utopia She definitely is a rude one - but soooo funny. Yep only Mrs Brown could make me laugh tonight - so glad I put it on.

'Silly people marrying at first sight' - you really don't have anything else to watch!!! Just more shite (too much Mrs Brown already) with no substance - makes you wonder why they do it - want to actually find someone or just getting themselves on tv???? (They should all 'Feck Off' and get a life).

Still not sure what I'll do tomorrow. I think I'll just wait until the morning and see how I am feeling. Don't think I actually want to face her anyway - GP was going to ring her and fill her in (in her words 'to give her a heads up') before my appointment. Not sure I can take it at the moment! I know what she will be like and pretty much know what she is going to say so a bit of avoidance for now maybe!

Re: Am Not Coping

@Zoe7. You sure you want to avoid your psychologist? Sometimes best to bite the bullet and get it over with. Then you can relax afterwards. But your decision.

No nothing on tv. And married at first sight - they probably stand a better chance of the 'happily ever after dream', than I did. Twice married. Twice divorced.

I really love watching Vicar of Dibley. Love waiting for the joke at the end of the show and see just what Alice will say. All the characters are just so over the top. I love them.

How is Toby and Cat tonight?

Re: Am Not Coping

@utopia no no no no no no yes I love Vicar of Dibley too - and Absolutely Fabulous is another fav.

Twice married - twice divorced - 3rd time lucky???? Maybe you should go on Married At First Sight!!!

Relationships aren't even on my radar!!!

Toby has moved to laying next to me - he's a very sleepy little boy. 'Cat' is outside - will come in when I give her food. She's a little sweetheart but doesn't get enough attention because of attention seeking Toby being always next to me where ever I go. She has got more adventureous and will sleep on the bed occassionally when he is asleep and doesn't want to play.

How are your fur babies doing?

Re: Am Not Coping

@Zoe7. lol. Remember poor Jim. When they were doing the radio show and he came out of the closet = lol, but no one was listening. lol. and the dress Alice wore for her wedding.

Yes love Absolutely Fabulous. didn't see the movie when it came out last year - was afraid i'd be disappointed. But poor Saffy. Watching Ab Fab will give you a good picture of me trying to get dressed in the morning for work. Trying to find something to squeeze into. lol.

Never. Never. Never Again. Happy to have a relationship (well not at the minute - but later), but I'll never marry again. Only married my son's dad, so that I could get him into the country easier. Otherwise, chances were he would have missed his sons birth. No, I far prefer to watch other people make that mistake. They have had one successful marriage from the show - so that is one more than me.

Poor Cat. That's his/her name on the forum now.Probably waits til Toby is snoring before she/he jumps onto the bed. My 2 girls and 1 boy are good today. No walks. I couldn't be bothered. And I have a 14 year old son - and he can never be bothered.

He is back to school tomorrow - year 9. And I'm back to this temp job. More 11 hour days coming my way.

Re: Am Not Coping

@utopia don't remember the Jim radio show but do remember Alice's dress. Yes poor Saffy - how did she ever put up that circus surrounding her? She still turned out relatively normal! Now that image of you trying to get dressed in the morning will just add to my nightmares lol - thanks for that!!!
Haven' t had any kind of relationship for a long, long time - don' t want to - trust etc. ISSUES!
One successful relationship from all those matches - yep so called experts are REALLY GOOD!!!!
Cat is 8 now so doesn't really want to play - Toby is still young and wants to play. Cat just ignores him. Cat is a little girl - Toby is the first boy I've ever had living with me (of both the 2 and 4 legged varieties).
Sh*t 11 hour days - sure you're not teaching!
Is your son looking forward to school or is he a reluctant student?

Re: Am Not Coping

@Zoe7. takes over an hour to drive each 87kms. then an hour lunch, makes it 11 hours from leaving home to returning home. Mum's promised to cook me dinner either Thursday or Friday this week, with the help of my boy, which will be so nice. It's just that after long days, I don't really feel very sociable and mum loves to talk and tries to sort out any little problem she thinks we have. She means well, but..... aaarrrggghhh.....

Yes my little girl Abbey is 9 years old. She is sometimes tolerant of the other dogs, sometimes not. She gets along well with Unnamed dog, but hates Max who we took in just over a year ago. And he likes to dominate her. Don't know which one is worse. So it's not exactly the United Nations here..... or maybe it is .... considering what's happening in the world of politics at the moment. But we won't talk about that..

Do you think you'll be able to get some sleep tonight? or have you slept a bit too much during the day? I think I've slept too much and might struggle tonight. But then I'll struggle when the alarm goes off in the morning.

Re: Am Not Coping

OMG @utopia that is a very long day. Are you working all the rest of this week? Maybe give your Mum a problem to help with so she thinks she is doing well but isn't a stress for you - just a suggestion! I know you and your Mum can talk for a long time but when you are tired it is more a chore.

I agree - World Politics at the moment - what is wrong with the world - seems like everyone's values are upside down and there is no compassion in the world. Narcassistic people trying to exert their power and dominate by force and fear!!!!

I think we should just call "unnamed dog" simply DOG now just like Cat - so much easier.

I think I may have slept too much today to sleep much tonight but I really needed to today to shut off and get through the day. Have already had one tablet and hasn't had any affect. Will have my second one soon and if that doesn't make me tired I just watch more Mrs Brown on the couch and hopefully fall asleep at some stage for a while at least.

In regards to appointment tomorrow - I think you may be right - best to confront it and deal with it as soon as possible and cop what is coming. I know she will not be angry but concerned but I didn't call her and I didn't tell her the truth last week so I feel a bit guilty about that.

Must be about time you tried to get some sleep tonight - a big day tomorrow - especially if you are tired. Don't lie around if you aren't sleeping and get frustrated - get up for a while have a warm glass of milk and try again - I can't drink milk anymore - makes me sick.

In response to: Re: Am Not Coping

Re: Am Not Coping

Im not much of a night time warm milk drinker. @Zoe7. In winter i'm happy to have the occassional hot chocolate. If i can't sleep. I'll read.

You'll probably fall asleep on the couch to find Toby asleep on the floor and Cat sleeping on top of the couch. I have 3 dog beds taking up room in my lounge room. no. two of them will always sleep together. Never in the biggest bed, but squeezed into the smallest. Ever see a Labrodore trying to fit into a little jack russells bed? and with another dog. her head ends up in the bed and her body out. She is a beautiful dopey dog.

Well Goodnight. I'll try and sleep now. I hope you get some sleep. If not, I hope you have a snorting laughing night.

Sweet dreams. And tomorrow will be a good day for you. I just know it will work out.
