Poem

Where is my hero?

He is playing Pictionary, in the desert.

Funny how he sees the sun & forgets he was once a city built on clay.

I guess to him - words are like raindrops.

Mirage he tastes, yet never FEELS an open mouth, and the words wet, alive like molecules, sink into cells on his endlessly dry & bitter tongue.

Is that your trial StanD?

To believe in heaven, & FEEL thirst, that swells?

Do you need help? Assistance? Or do you die in this hell?

Alone.

Without.

A suffering, no other can endure?

Is this you?

Sand filled mouth.

Denied

No pleasure

No face

No doubt

No is no

Can you hear me?

Now.

Or.

Am I blessed because you suffer.

I am

Because You

Are

Without

Hello SANE,

I am not sure what this poem is about. Perhaps, it is about, letting go of pain? A kind of, 'sick safety'. Or perhaps, pain does not exist at all? It is a concept created by man?

I apologise if it is too dark. I see the candle glowing brightest when blackest seas rise.

I am perhaps, suicidal, & have been for most of my life.

I hold on to His hand.

I think my spaceship knows which way to go🙂

I hope this poem, gives the reader - a reminder, that, it's ok, & safe, to let GO 🚦

StanD x

This new layout has my head spinning. Well done SANE team. It looks like huge effort has been put in.

I think it is more engaging for new people🦄🐴🌈

Re: Poem

Thanks SANE for agreeing to delete. I don't want to be this. I think, I am very deeply lonely, & want to have real people in my life. I am slowly achieving this. I have 2 new friends from church. I am easy to get along with, & I think I am probably especially personable.

The problem is, that I am extremely shy, & I am not experienced in having healthy relationships. It is all so new to me. I don't always know my boundaries. It gets blurry. Other people, need to accept, that I live with experience of mental illness, all my life. I always feel like I am much too needy. This makes me so sad, to realise that this is how I think of me.

It is symptom of MI, I don't believe I am deserving of God life. The idea, that I am incredible burden to others.

I read this on SANE.

Super powerful poem @StanD

The words, the images. The despair...

The Structure

I won't claim to understand it fully, but it at least makes the reader think

Re: Poem

Hi @StanD, I'm just going to send you an email about removing the post, if you could keep an eye out for that in the next couple of minutes

I hear how hard it is to manage two competing elements of shyness and loneliness within you. It sounds as though you're making great progress in making those two friends from church, that's wonderful to hear and I'm sure it took a lot of courage to put yourself out there.

The thing about MI is that it tells all of us that we are burdens to others, it can be really hard to not listen to. For me it helps to think of this thought as the MI talking and trying to say what it needs to say so that it can stay, because it knows that when we reach out and receive support from others then we might start to feel a bit better and the MI may start to lose its hold.

I hope things get better for you @StanD 😊 I can relate to the shyness and wanting to be with others, maybe it was never to the same degree
