Poem

Where is my hero?

He is playing Pictionary, in the desert.

Funny how he sees the sun & forgets he was once a city built on clay.

I guess to him - words are like raindrops.

Mirage he tastes, yet never FEELS an open mouth, and the words wet, alive like molecules, sink into cells on his endlessly dry & bitter tongue.

Is that your trial StanD?

To believe in heaven, & FEEL thirst, that swells?

Do you need help? Assistance? Or do you die in this hell?

Alone.

Without.

A suffering, no other can endure?

Is this you?

Sand filled mouth.

Denied

No pleasure

No face

No doubt

No is no

Can you hear me?

Now.

Or.

Am I blessed because you suffer.

I am

Because You

Are

Without

Hello SANE,

I am not sure what this poem is about. Perhaps, it is about, letting go of pain? A kind of, 'sick safety'. Or perhaps, pain does not exist at all? It is a concept created by man?

I apologise if it is too dark. I see the candle glowing brightest when blackest seas rise.

I am perhaps, suicidal, & have been for most of my life.

I hold on to His hand.

I think my spaceship knows which way to go🙂

I hope this poem, gives the reader - a reminder, that, it's ok, & safe, to let GO 🚦

StanD x

This new layout has my head spinning. Well done SANE team. It looks like huge effort has been put in.

I think it is more engaging for new people🦄🐴🌈

Re: Poem

Hi @StanD, thank you for sharing this poem.

Isn't it lovely waking up to sun in Melbourne? Might take my coffee and computer and sit in the garden to soak it up.

Wow @Shaz51 how hot does it get there in summer?

Wow that sounds lovely @Shaz51

I thinki an going to delete this post / poem

On reflection, I don't like this side of myself.

It is very critical of me & so self absorbed!

I have noticed this character trait recently. I don't think it is the real authentic me.

I think it is a part of me that wants other's to suffer, so that I may enjoy life

Isn't that awful?

This is why it surprises me, so much, there are people who can see past this broken & 'mean' part of me.

Re: Poem

[Verse 1]
Down the street you can hear her scream "You're a disgrace"
As she slams the door in his drunken face
And now he stands outside
And all the neighbors start to gossip and drool
He cries "Oh girl, you must be mad
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?"
Against the door he leans and starts a scene
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

[Chorus]
And so castles made of sand
Fall in the sea eventually

[Verse 2]
A little Indian brave who before he was ten
Played war games in the woods with his Indian friends
And he built a dream that when he grew up
He would be a fearless warrior, Indian Chief
Many moons passed, and more the dream grew strong
Until tomorrow he would sing his first war song
And fight his first battle
But something went wrong
Surprise attack killed him in his sleep that night

[Chorus]
And so castles made of sand
Melts into the sea eventually

[Verse 3]
There was a young girl whose heart was a frown
'Cause she was crippled for life and she couldn't speak a sound
And she wished and prayed she could stop living
So she decided to die
She drew her wheelchair to the edge of the shore
And to her legs she smiled, "You won't hurt me no more"
But then a sight she'd never seen made her jump and say
"Look, a golden winged ship is passing my way"
And it really didn't have to stop
It just kept on going

[Outro]
And so castles made of sand
Slips into the sea eventually

@StanD , @Ru-bee

the heat might get to 37 degrees but it is the humidity that is the worse , can get to 90% on a very humid day

I am sitting in the lounge with the fan on , coffee and listening to my husband snoring

Re: Poem

That is right @TAB I forget who I am. I think I feel very jealous of everything, because, I'm not like you. I feel like, it is not normal for me to be.

So, I created all these pseudo personalities that I saw on TV, or kids from school, work, & made a person from all these different ppl. I am basically like a collage, I depend upon, when, I can be me - except I have no idea who that is
