Welcome and getting started

Anger

Anger

Howdee non sleepers, I'm new here, was referred by a buddy. I chose Sir as my user name as it's something I never hear but use regularly. Also, a word I choked on whilst greeting some very very unique dudes/dudesses in the Army. Have been gaslit and lied to by some dark forces in the Dept of Defence for the last 21 years up to and including my fossil federal member. Media could quite possibly be my next accidental response. Message from me to everyone in Australia....DO NOT ENLIST INTO THE ADF!!!! Defend your home and family definitely...why work underpaid for the King of another continent??? I assume the King of England expects me to greet him as...Sir.

Re: Anger

Hi there sir l will call you.

I agree with what you are saying, despite being a 30 year old woman who has never set foot, let alone have any intentions of joining the defence force. All I've ever seen and heard about is all the men who have ended up with PTSD and have no where to go and no one to turn too.

My dad was in the navy. Didn't get into the defence force, as he couldn't be told what to do. Then you have my husband, who had no choice but to do mandatory military service in Iran.

Sometimes you do what you gotta do to cover your ass.

Other times you cover your ass whilst trying to figure out where it is that you want to be, and how to actually get there. This will be seen until the extinction of man kind. We are all for the most part sheep. We fend off of eachother, when actually we need to be more intune to ourselves and then if we have children brought into this world, we are able to be intune to them. Guide them through this world. The children should not have to guide the parent. They should be able to turn to their parents. Yet like my dad always says. Imagine I'm not here. What would you do. Let that sink in.

Re: Anger

Thankyou kindly for your reply Blissfully,

When Russia invaded Ukraine, I was nauseous for weeks. Similarly with regard to Israel and Palestine. Well, all current conflicts involving military grade weapons. Sadly hunger and fear cause chaos within a community, all on one planet.
I've copy/pasted some text regarding the fine gentleman from Iran who taught me engineering thermodynamics. I have no doubt your husband possesses the same morals and virtues.
'... Aliakbar is a thermodynamicist, expert on salinity gradient solar ponds as a source of industrial process heat.He has worked on applications of thermoelectric generators for power generation from waste heat and renewable sources. He is an expert on heat pipes for cooling of electronics.Currently his research is on sustainable water desalination, as well as power generation from low grade heat and renewable sources .Aliakbar is also a volunteer for not for profit and philanthropic organizations....'
Leadership, there be the definition of. A gentleman well worthy of...Sir.
Preserving and protecting the planet is the way. Burn then pollute with lead and depleted uranium is the way of the mentally ill. A wise Russian work mate once told me "give as much as you can, take only what you need" My wise Ukrainian doctor told me two years ago how terribly worried he was about his family back home, and I'm a former combat medic.
It all makes sense why I'm ageing so fast......
Best wishes Blissfully, your children have great parents!!

Re: Anger

Hello @Sir,

Welcome to the Forum, and thank you for sharing. It was good of your friend to refer you, I hope that you are made to feel at home and supported here.

Thank you for your service, and I am sorry to see the trouble you've had with your former employers. As @RachSANECEO mentioned, there is the Veteran's Hub in the Spaces section (https://saneforums.org/t5/Veteran-s-hub/cmp-p/grouphub%3AVeteransForum) that you can join to speak to some other veterans.

Oh, and so that we know when you've replied to any of us, just go ahead and type an @ symbol and then the person's username which should pop up so you can tag them.

I hope that you can find the support that you are looking for.

Take care.

P.s. @Blissfully - @Sir has responded to your previous reply.
