Family separation

Family separation

Hi it's been a tough fathers day for me second year without hearing from my adult kids after the nasty marriage breakdown and divorce involving domestic violence against me by my ex wife. I am very down because l care and think about my kids every day and l have a granddaughter that l haven't seen for 2 years also. I feel my ex wife is controlling the kids having turned them against.me .I worry about my granddaughter growing up without her grandfather because my daughter is too selfish to allow her to see me. I have never hurt anyone but l feel like l am.such a bad dad and l hate to think what crap my granddaughter is being told.It takes away meaning to my life. I doubt the situation will ever improve. Why why do people still hurt me???

Re: Sad

Hi @tyme Yes I can go to a tourist railway 30 mins away and it would be good just finances are limited.

Re: Sad

That's tough. 30 minutes drive? Walk? @john74

I wonder if they will cover the transport there if they want your voluntary services?

Even just to get out of the house, this might be helpful.

I just want to say, it's really good to hear from you.

@Leeanne1 , how are you this evening?

Re: Sad

Hi @tyme they will cover the cost of the medical if I pay up front I will be reimbursed but its nearly $300 I have to find first, Not sure if you have noticed in the last 6 months or so the cost of food etc at supermarkets has been rising steadily. The fuel situation re the war has increased petrol by 30 cpl

Re: Sad

But you know what @john74 ? That 'war on fuel' is so bad because according to experts, we have enough fuel in store but the service stations are just cranking up prices! It should be made illegal.

As for food, a shopping cart of food will set you back hundreds of dollars!

So I totally hear you when you have to fork out $300+ first.

What have you been up to today?

@Leeanne1 , and you? Are you still knitting?

I'll be around for a bit longer if you wanted company.
