Yes @Kurra this is the dream I had of holding a baby and the calmness and peace I felt.
But now my negative mind is saying to me - what would my parents or mum say, my daughter isn't married or engaged. And the rest of my family. She will be judged and so will I for not being s good mum. Having all these self hate negative thoughts.
I'm teary for the amount of gossip in our small tight knit community. Word gets around very quickly.

You have been and are a great mum. This little one - I see a girl - is going to be one very lucky - very spoilt baby. Wow!!

I'm so excited. Each second I think of this little baby. Things will change. We may have them live with us for a while until they can save enough to buy a house. Mind you I won't mind having the bsby around.
You know Dec I'm going to be the best grandma around. I want to be around for my daughter and her baby.
I won't let my mum ruin my happiness with her judgement and if she finds out snd says something to my sister I will be angry. She will have a great grandchild that she won't even know. That's sad for my dad. But I'm so happy. I think my daughter and boyfriend are still in shock but I know she will be a good mum. And I'll be beside her the whole way.

@BlueBay. As I was reading your good news -I kept seeing a little baby girl.
Sorry - but this will be blunt. But your parents have no rights re: this little baby. They have no say in the parents not being married. They have no say in labeling your dtr as no morals or you as a bad mother. They have no say in any of it.
That is what they both chose - when they chose to not do right by you and your family. Do you really think they would be good great grandparents to this little one? Because they can't even be good parents to you or grandparents to your kids. That is what they chose. They have no moral high ground to stand on. They have proved who they are.
Is it really that you think they would be good - or is it the dream image - that you would like them to be the best grandparents.
I'm harsh - I know. But I say this because - once again - you were having an amazing once in a lifetime experience - the announcement of your future first grandchild. And yet - the focus is back on these people - bringing you down.
This little baby & her parents - don't need these people in their life.
They need you & your hubby - huffy puffy grandpa - who will be smitten with this little one.
They need you to be who you are. To spoil this little girl with love hugs and kisses. You will not be a judgemental grandma. You will be the loving grandma. The one this little baby will choose to spend time with.
YOU @BlueBay - are all that matters to this little baby and her parents.
Focus on that. I love you. You are a wonderful woman. And YOU deserve this happiness.
