Celebrating all the (little) good things that happen 😊

Celebrating all the (little) good things that happen 😊
So, I've searched the forums for a 'good things' post, but the only one I could find was full of birthdays and I don't want to rain on that parade.
Anyway, I'm feeling up and up and I've just organised some long distance bushwalks with a friend of a friend for later in the year and I am very excited about it.
And tomorrow I go back to work and my boss was super supportive when I spoke to her today. Yay! (yay for an income and paying my bills!)

Thanks @Phoenix_Rising, I think we might have similar muddles. I'm sorry that that all happened to you. And I wish you the best in therapy. I just had my 1st session today - he seemed nice. Don't know what to think just yet. Much less scary than I imagined. But it's only the 1st session so will wait and see.

Having one of those days that I'm not okay with having a mi. Making me feel crap about myself. Stupid therapy making me think about myself in comparison to others. And feeling like I come up short. Don't want to go to work tomorrow. 😞

You'll go to work anyway @Former-Member. As for comparing yourself with otherd..... well, it never works well for me. When I do that I kust end up making myself miserable. Does that ring a bell with you?
Take care and put your efforts in to being the person you want to be. I have every faith in you that you can do this! Hugzzz 💕🎶💕

Hiya @Former-Member I hope your therapist didn't make you compare yourself to others. I know we do but I kind of get it that it doesn't help. Just lately, and you may need to be sitting down for this and remind me when I'm having a hissy fit later, I'm trying to tell myself when those thoughts come that I'll only end up in hell if I keep going with them. I then try to focus on anything else. It's just the very beginning for me. Its easier when I'm out. I'm totally my thoughts at home still. Anyway I know you are not your thoughts but we just have to get you to believe that too. Dropping in and saying hi. I hope I'm not being too preachy. I'm in an ok headspace tonight for a change. I hope tomorrow goes ok. Sending hugs and thinking of you 💜🤗😘

Hi @Kurra and @Former-Member, thank's for your replies. I was just feeling mopey and needed to vent online. I think I should have put it in the worry room, oh well. I went to work anyway, despite how stressful I find it and how much it gets to me, I still enjoy it. (I'm weird, I know). Just, I can't really talk with my family and friends about this stuff, and it feels good to let it out online. I can stop pretending that everything is okay and come online when I'm bummed. I went to bed, and felt a better in the morning. I just needed a whinge, that's all. I guess it plays into my deep insecurities, and there are plenty, but this was just a surface emotion that I needed to express. I'm still shitscared about therapy. More scred about that than anything ever. More scared than I think most people have ever been. But I want a relationship and a family and I don't think I'll get it any other way. Thanks for listening, and thanks for your support. It makes a huge difference knowing people have my back and can give me a kick in the shins when I need it. 😘

Therapy can be very scary at first @Former-Member. As you start to develop a working relationship with your psychologist it does become much easier. Certainly for me the benefits far outweigh any anxieties I have about therapy. Thinking of you 💕🎶

Ditto what @Kurra said.
@Former-Member Lots of people can get pleasure, excitement, a thrill, or just plain satisfaction out of their work .. and not just do it for money .. not weird at alll ...
