My psychotherapist says that too about a way for words.

My partner has done zilch with his life, like me.

That he made a cage, I was thinking he's done two very creative things this year. Ide so love to show this short story he's written. It's fantastic and he built this cage.

Plus ...... He cared for me when I was confronted with this trauma which has made me feel like drowning for the whole of my life.

Yes, everything you wrote I identified with. But he did it.

I can't say I did much with my life either. Mainly because I hid myself away from everyone for the vast majority of it. But i've learned this year, my 54th, that it's never too late to do something with it. Even if it's just making someone smile or laugh or feel slightly better when their struggling. Or a big new house for some budgies! And as I've learned this year, just saying 'thank you' to someone who has supported me through some very though times. These things help us to do life and do it with happiness.

It's 2am here right now so apparently not. 😃 Hopefully you're reading this in the morning and have managed to get to sleep. I've kindly responded to both your posts in one post just in case you're reading them before you get to sleep and you only have to read one post instead of two. Maybe that makes sense... maybe it doesn't. I don't know. It's just past 2am here and my my fingers are typing but my brain is off somewhere thinking about who knows what!

Hi friend, it is 1:17am here and I have woken up in the night with a headache. Cat was acting weird so I let her out so now I can’t go back to sleep until after I let her back in again. Hopefully you got tired enough to actually get some decent sleep for once. Anyway where is that cat? Hope she hasn’t wandered off

Yes this is something I'm learning as well.

As an entitled caucasian : I reflect on my past.

i was very abused all my life until 55-57 years old.

However-

I live in beautiful area in public housing - wow - the area is magnificent

My stepmother after many years of estrangement - emotionally and financially supports me.

My brother, my oldest brother has come back to me.

I have been plugging on with therapy all my life

My 2 sons are good. They have shown that they love me.

I am loved by my pretty useless but working very hard to be different partner.

I feel I'm becoming a little bit more active. I'm joining a swimming pool, Beauty Park to see what happens .....
