Hi
I am suffering from depression and was wondering if anyone else has experienced brain fog as part of their depression?

Brain fog can be a really common symptom that comes with depression, but I'll leave it to some of our lovely community members to speak more on their experiences with this

@Stackman . Yes I have brain fog from time to time with my Depression. The brain fog gets way worse when I'm on a high dose of antidepressants.
It's a bit like what came first, the chicken or the egg.
Did the Depression cause brain fog or do the antidepressants.

@Stackman Hi 👋🏼 depression medication and a lot less brain 🧠 fog 🌫️
It’s been a month since I started my new medication :pill: and I feel pretty good.
I’m now getting tasks done I had been avoiding for months.

@tyme No I never had brain fog before menopause. HRT fixed that brain fog. Even when I stopped HRT.
Then bad things got worse and blah blah blah et voilà 🫱🏼 dépression.

Very interesting, but it doesn't surprise me that hormones play such a huge role in how we function... for me too @Glisten

Thanks @tyme you just reminded me that I have to make a follow up appointment with my GP.
I’m going to go back on HRT.

Hey @Umeume ,
Have you found anything that works in terms of the brain fog?

Hi @tyme, @Stackman @Glisten @utopia ,
No, I haven't I'm afraid. In fact, I realise in being asked the question that I have actually never sought a solution for it!! I just....accepted it.
Sometimes, if I drink two cups of coffee, I do feel I can push through a few things.
I think I've spent far too many years just 'accepting'.
