Loneliness

Loneliness

44 year old female desperately searching for people to talk to, human connection. Non judgmental. Open minded. I suffer from health anxiety, panic attacks, depression. New diagnosis is potential bipolar 1??? Don't have any real family support, no real other support but I believe that friendship can help with healing and gives life purpose. I've wondered sadly if it's possible to 'hire a friend '?? I'm in Brisbane area. I hide a lot behind a good sense of humour, strong willed in what I believe in but childish at times in the mind (physcologist ses due to trauma) There must be others out there who who feel similar and want to connect?? I pray someone resonates with this! NO males please put of respect for my partner. I must add , I had a mental breakdown over a year ago due to PTSD. So I'm trying to fight my way back. I stopped driving and and going out due to the severity of my panic attacks. If someone could help me, and I them it would be a absolute blessing! In closing, I hope everyone gets the help they desperately need. I'm sick of living like this. :'(

Re: Loneliness

Hi @Bonniebear.

Im sorry about your loss. It’s so hard. I suffered more with the loss of my first dog than I have for any family.

I hear and get the loneliness. Im

am pretty much alone in my life too. Do you have and family or friends around you? I try to reach out when the

loneliness gets too

much. Being on here is always helpful.

However I do have 2 furbabies, I am currently at the end of the puppy days with the second one.

Re: Loneliness

My boy was a shih tzu. He was very well behaved but I was very very tough on him. Trust me you never remember any of that stuff, only the adorable stuff.

I think a corgi will help with moving my mind off obsessive thoughts about my boss who I have a very unhealthy attachment to

Re: Loneliness

What type of dogs?

I dont really have friends I can rely on any more. They have their own lives and just don't have time.

I do have a partner but I only see him every 3 or 4 weeks. I am struggling to tell him that's not enough

Re: Loneliness

I get that with friends. @Bonniebear. I’m so sorry that your partner is away for so long. Is he a FIFO?

I always think of my Honey when I see a little tennis ball. She loved playing fetch. I felt guilty when she passed away that I didn’t play enough with her. Be she knows that I loved her. She loved the beach, I use to take her on holidays there. Sorry just reminiscing.

My two are long-haired chihuahuas Pixie is the tan one and is 5, Jett is the black one and is just over 8 months, he has just had knee surgery

Re: Loneliness

For some reason I cant see the image of your dogs.

He isnt a FIFO, he works and has his daughter on weekends, 2 things that are flexible but he never changes things. So I've been considering for some months now whether I want to be in something like this.

The photo will come through when a moderator approves it. @Bonniebear

That must be hard. I can’t decide that for you but you need to do what is best for you and for your mental health and wellbeing.

Im heading off to bed. If you put an @ symbol then a drop down will appear and tag captain24 I’ll get notifications of your posts.

I hope you have a good night.

Re: Loneliness

Hi everyone. I was tagged here but I don’t know if I belong because I don’t really feel lonely at all. If anything I hope to get time away from the din of this world.

I live on my own and I don’t think I could have it any other way. Is it because I’m selfish? I don’t know.

I have to say that I don’t want to turn into a cranky old hermit in the future. That’s something I have to be careful of.

Anyway, hello to everyone here @Captain24 @Chickadee @Bonniebear @tyme @Oaktree

Re: Loneliness

Hey @BPDSurvivor

I used to isolate.

I ended up getting support from a mental health organisation. 7 years later, I really enjoy going out

Re: Loneliness

Hrmmm. I want say I enjoy going out. I think I like being at home, but when things have to get done, then they have to get done and I’m okay to go out.

Thinking about it, I think my comfort is knowing that every time I go out, there is a purpose. I like to know exactly how long I’m out for.

i struggle at social events where there’s no end time. How about you @Oaktree ? Is this the same for you?

Re: Loneliness

@BPDSurvivor

Yes I struggle with social events too. I don’t do chit chat and I feel really awkward. With people I know well, I am a little better. I often go to art group and sit there not talking to anyone.
