Loneliness

Loneliness

44 year old female desperately searching for people to talk to, human connection. Non judgmental. Open minded. I suffer from health anxiety, panic attacks, depression. New diagnosis is potential bipolar 1??? Don't have any real family support, no real other support but I believe that friendship can help with healing and gives life purpose. I've wondered sadly if it's possible to 'hire a friend '?? I'm in Brisbane area. I hide a lot behind a good sense of humour, strong willed in what I believe in but childish at times in the mind (physcologist ses due to trauma) There must be others out there who who feel similar and want to connect?? I pray someone resonates with this! NO males please put of respect for my partner. I must add , I had a mental breakdown over a year ago due to PTSD. So I'm trying to fight my way back. I stopped driving and and going out due to the severity of my panic attacks. If someone could help me, and I them it would be a absolute blessing! In closing, I hope everyone gets the help they desperately need. I'm sick of living like this. :'(

Re: Loneliness

@Oaktree I just googled the difference between the bipolar(s) it's confusing😕 I was sure I had ADHD but apparently it's my anxiety!! I'm not on any meds for it ATM. Glad you been okay though, once a medication works it's great!

@Chickadee

A fun fact is hard. A fun fact about me is that I love wandering through the forest. I enjoy hiking.

Hi @Chickadee

Just checking in with you. I am sorry that the notifications are not working. It’s difficult to navigate the forums when you start out without that happening. I hope you are well and are feeling ok today.

Re: Loneliness

Hey @Chickadee ,

Great to hear from you! I'm just reading all your posts and I'm so glad you've been able to connect on the forums 🙂

I wonder if there are other supports you can connect with including psychosocial supports?

What are things you are interested in?

Re: Loneliness

I lost my little dog in October 2022, but thinking of getting one this year, maybe before the 2 year anniversary of his death. My lonliness has been much worse since he passed and my borderline symptoms have come flooding back

Re: Loneliness

Awww @Bonniebear , I'm sorry to hear about the loneliness you are experiencing after the passing of your dog. It sounds so difficult. At the same time, I read how special your bond must have been.

Grief is a process and there's no right or wrong way that people grieve. For some, it takes longer than others.

@Captain24 may be able to share their insights with you.

For me, I just got a new cavoodle. Well, my sister bought it for my niece, but it's pretty much in my house. I'm not so keen on these puppy days.... yet I can see the joy it can bring to people.

We are listening and more than ready to sit with you through this.

Re: Loneliness

I cant wait to go through the puppy things again, theyre so cure then but you have to be extra strict with them.

Having said that whenever I was at my dads place and told my boy off, he would look at dad like "do I have to do what she says"

Now im hoping to get a corgi. But I have to get hearing aids first because it's getting hard to work in the office with a hearing impairment. And they're expensive

Re: Loneliness

Yes, hearing aids are expensive. @Bonniebear I did read about a research where you get hearing aids for free. I'm not sure if this is still running.

I'm glad you are WANTING the puppy age.... I totally don't like it! There's poo and wee in the house where ever and whenever she fancies! She's chewing on everything.. this drives me bonkers... she's about 3 months old now... so we've still got a way to go.

Corgis are very pleasant. I wonder if getting a corgi can help you through the grief and loneliness?
