Re: Vent

@MarronButterFlyObviously I don't know you, your dad, or anything about the situation, but have you tried talking to him? Is that a possibility? Maybe it would help to talk to him and tell him a little about how you're feeling.

@MarronButterFly

It might be worth talking to someone about what you are going through.

Suicide Call Back Service (1300 659 467) and Lifeline (13 11 14) are two good services that would be able to help.

Another alternate is to go see your local gp. By setting up a mental health care plan you are given 11 (I think) psychologist sessions.

I know how hard and persistent these thoughts can be.

I would encourage you to reach out for professional help as well as communicating on here.

Hi @MarronButterFly

i understand how you are feeling, I recall where my father once told me to get out of home because I bought a more reliable vehicle (at the time I was doing a lot of driving)

he said the car would be repossessed and I would amount to nothing in life.

do not feel guilty of having feelings, feelings are natural and normal and it proves to us we are real, here and living, but know that there are strangers out here (including myself) that know that you deserve to live your life.

Your father should respect you and not yell at you or call you names or anything like that.

Do you have a good friend network that you can talk to or another family member?

you shouldn’t have to endure this alone and sometimes having someone to talk to or vent to can make a world of difference

@NatureLover they would be a whole lot happier that’s for sure

I don't think this is true @MarronButterFly . The reason I say this is that every single time I've heard of someone killing themselves, the people around them have been devastated.

What professional support do you have in place? It sounds like your depression is terrible 😢

Re: Vent

@MarronButterFly,

I'm sorry that there is no one in you social network that you can’t talk to but I also understand.

Do know that lifeline has an online chat service 24/7 if you need a vent, someone to chat to without judgment to help you get through the worst moments.

Re: Vent

@MarronButterFly I would encourage you to try again or try a different service. Suicide call back service also have an online chat or you could call them.

I have used both many times. Sometimes they help, sometimes they don't. So perhaps you could try again. It just might be the time that it does really help.
