brain shutting down when emotionally and physically tired

brain shutting down when emotionally and physically tired

Not sure if anyone else experiences this as I know this doesnt happen to non MI's that I know of.

As per previous post yesterday was a very exhausting day, mentally, emotionally and full of triggers which I worked through.

When I get this fatigued and tired I get extremely clumsy like my brain isnt sending the right messages to my body. Eg. Walking I will trip over easily as I dont lift my feet high enough and properly, I constantly hit my arms and hands on walls through walk ways and basically really uncoordinated. I probably look like I'm drunk!

Just wondering if this is normal or if there could be something else going on nurologically?

Usually when I get like this I need to sleep quickly and for a good amount of time and keep getting worse until I do so. Hoping to have a nap when I get home but just wonder if this reaction is normal or not.

Thanks

This happens to kids too - clumsiness and difficulty communicating when very tired - so I wonder if it's a natural process? Simply the brain directing the limited energy available for something other than keeping us walking in a straight line/finding the words we need.

Hi @Change123

I know that when i am very very fatigued, anxious and stressed my body goes into 'meltdown' mode where I have to sleep for as long as my body needs. I am now listening to my body when it tells me I need rest.

Hope you're okay xxxooo
