I used to struggle with my Christian beliefs when I was first diagnosed with clinical depression, and then again when I was diagnosed with bipolar 2 disorder and severe
anxiety.
Does anyone else have these problems?

@tyme @ENKELI @Appleblossom I've lost my way, I've lost my footing. The parish where I thought I was baptised has no record. I'm going to a faith-based hospital soon. I've been trying to find my way back for a long time and now it's not possible, not in the way I'd envisaged.

@tyme I don't "need" it right now but would for confirmation and any other sacraments /rites of passage. Asking for it was really significant for me in wanting to reconnect with my roots, test my memory of what a very old family friend said at my mother's memorial service about where I was baptised (I guess I got it wrong), and being reassured I could practice in the church I was brought up in, despite having fallen by the wayside. I feel the ground's dropped from under my feet.

It's hard you know... trying to give someone a reason to live... Christ is my fortress, my refuge, my safe place... He is the only reason I'm alive, that I didn't stay dead when I was born... He is my everything...
I'm so tired now, was so anxious to go to bed last night, that she wouldn't be here this morning... but I wouldn't change what I did
Now I'm depleted... I just need someone to tell me that I did good... because now I feel like the failure that she still attempted...

For me, we go to church on New Years Eve and gather with the whole church through the night until the new year. At midnight, we get a promise card with a personalised promise on the back of each card. We when hang out and have food together.
It's my favourite time of the year nowadays 🙂 I've got my promise card, but I haven't read into the promise fully yet. If I feel up to it, I'll share it later.

Welcome back my darling @tyme, your NYE church service sounds wonderful. What a perfect way to bring in the new year.
I have started reading Jesus Calling by Sarah Young each morning and am also looking at attending services at a church in my region. It is a large church which I'm anxious about but my brothers' boss who attends there said she will hold my hand for my first visit.
