Hello @Shaz51 @BPDSurvivor @NightFury and everyone else!

@NightFury , I can empathise with you. I was in a staffroom full of neurodiverse teachers in my previous workplace. I masked so well that I was labelled a 'normie'. How hilarious!

Schools are like production lines, and have been since Industrialisation. Bells, timetables and so on. There's not much room for deviating from the structure.

Over the years, I've survived by working smarter, not harder. Working to get my lesson plans to 80% and then leaving it there. I know that I don't get extra points for being a perfectionist. And I've still become unwell a couple of times. I've only just returned to work with reduced hours after being away for 5 months.

@NightFury is there any way we can support you? Or any questions you might have? We have a brains trust here and may be able to help you.

Enjoy your weekend, everyone!

Good evening everyone @Spirit_Healer @tyme @NightFury @Shaz51 @moug @Zoe7 ,

It's been a while. I've changed schools but in a similar role to support disability funding and coach teachers on inclusive practices.

I really enjoy the role. I love working with my team too. Full of neurodiverse people that keeps the office going.

We all work well together and support each other in the office which is really good. I think that's what makes me want to keep going to work even though it's tiring sometimes.

We were supposed to have a school strike (half day), but it's been called off now. I was going to go to school camp, but thank god another teacher offered to go in my place. I love that kids get the opportunity to go on camp, but sleeping there? No thanks!

What does school life look like for others' here?
