Sunday scaries, anyone else?

Sunday scaries, anyone else?

I like my job but the Sunday scaries are real. Wondering if I did enough this weekend or spent enough quality time with my family, but still have a list of things I wish I got done, wondering how this week will go, caught between the count down until the end of the work week but not wanting to wish time away

My parents are semi-retired. They travel for months every year @ArraDreaming

I reckon I'll do that too. Give it a few years and I'll retire early so I can travel.

@tyme yeah if you can do it go for it, if we had more money we would travel with our kids but also, I’ve worked hard on my mental health let’s just put it that way, I don’t know if being on the road with our 3 kids in a tiny caravan would be good for our family’s mental wellbeing that’s all I’m saying

Re: Sunday scaries, anyone else?

We could do it, just not living on the road, a trip away, yes

Nah, not now. What for the baby to be able to appreciate it first. @ArraDreaming

Remember, the kids are happy with a cardboard box. They don't need to see the world.

Once you've got a house, settled, kids are older... then think about taking them out on big trips.

My parents never took us to big trips. They worked hard and I've told them not to leave us an inheritance.. that they should enjoy the money they have earnt.

When your kids are older, another cheaper holiday are cruises, esp the ones for kids. You pay it off a little every week.

Hi @Bow 🙂

I'm curious... if you feel comfortable - what is considered as 'enough time' with your daughter? Like, how is that measured?

Did you have a good time? Did your daughter enjoy themselves? Were you both able to share and have some quality time together? ❤️

Re: Sunday scaries, anyone else?

It’s usually measured by whether I’ve done something one on one with her that she enjoys doing @PizzaMondo. Whether we have gone out and done something just us.

We like going out for cuppas. Doing Lego. Playing games, arts and craft. Watching a movie.

I love the things you both like to do together - especially because to me it looks like you both thrive off quality time being spent in a way where you are both stimulated and doing something practical - such as arts and crafts or lego 🙂

Were you both able to do any of these last weekend @Bow? (Yesterday)
