Hi guys,

So I have this idea for a cook along. So once a fortnight or so I will look up an easy recipe on YouTube. Then whoever fancies having a go cooks it and posts pictures of what your creations ended up looking like. The idea is to have fun and not expect perfection.

Here is the first recipe. Your mission if you choose to accept it is to post pictures by Sunday 24th March 2024. That way it will encompass everyone’s paydays. It looks pretty simple and you probably already have some ingredients in your pantry. Good luck and tag others in. Thanks guys…

bit knackered.
Safer to do more stuff with this heart monitor now though - it’s linked to the hospital via wifi… wifi from under the skin on my chest via an app on the phone, to the doc.. weird.

I’m literally emitting wifi signals wherever I go 😄
might be a problem if AI wants to take over the world.. I may have no choice as to whose side I’m on! 🙌🏻😉

stitches come out late next week, and then nobody will be the wiser I’m 1/20th AI ☺️

Home made bread and muffins are cheap and filling snacks…have home food for the week (along with the casserole earlier today), so that’s always nice to know there’s enough to eat 🌺🙂

I’m making some long-awaited Turkish delight today…have been promising to get it done for weeks, so I thought I’d get myself in gear. Have taped up my back and have a chair handy, but there’s not a lot to do really - just intermittent stirring and mixing 🙂

here’s a pic of the bench all ready to go, and the sugar doing it’s thing on the stove…

This is exciting, please share with us the finished product (if you are happy to and happy with it!) - I have never tried to make Turkish delight, but absolutely love to eat it 😛 I like when there are pistachios in it too!

it’s super yum when home made - I use a traditional Persian recipe, and I’ve given it to my friends from the Middle East in the past, and they have given it the seal of approval 🙌🏻😀😉🌺

it takes two days to finish, but today the majority will be done.
Yes pistachios are a lovely addition arent they? I haven’t been able to get Iranian pistachios (the freshness and type of packing makes a difference to the end result), so I haven’t added them for a while, but I’ll try to get some in future and make it with them included.

Wow, that is super cool to receive the seal of approval from your friends also - I can imagine part of their culture they would have grown up perhaps eating a lot of this, so they would be very familiar with what sanctions as the perfect flavour and textures!

Ahh, yes I know what you mean by the type of packing can make a difference - especially when adding nuts of those sort to a dish! So this will be a plain rose turkish delight then?
