Re: My Boundaries - helpful things

Thanks for reply @PeppiPatty

Its sad that some people drop off the site ... and I wonder how they are ....but it was a good thread.

I havent had a sense of my kitchen being my space to control others ...it was a place for me to work ....and the 2 most recent "friends" were very happy to walk all over me in my kitchen . .. and yes the friendship suffered ...

I am becoming aware ... as those too were NPD types ... and why do I choose those relationships ... that it is the love of myself I need to work on ... in balance.

I am learning to steer clear when it happens but have been in groups like choirs where things are tightly controlled ... but for some reason ... often just the fact that a person has shown up a lot ... a loud person gets official sanction ...

instead of being quiet ... in last 3 years I have started saying things about it ... it has been difficult ... usually I take a while to get to the point I need to comment about another's behaviour... sometimes others are really grateful cos they had been struggling too but unable to speak ...but as the most important thing is to pull together musically it provides a discipline for me to maintain my authenticity and stay in group ... or go ...

Favouritism is often an issue ... when person in leadership feels comfortable with special people ...I try to give a lot of leeway ...

Yeah ..... The favouritism in public housing is terrible. One of my dear friends ...... Actually my support person is having an atrocious time. I wish that he had the energy to push it further but ........ Nothing will happen ......

I'm thinking about how I'm writing my values ...... On wiki how ( how you write your values ) and with the exercises I'm defining myself better if you can find it tell me and ille copy out one

@Chris how are you ? Your post is very interesting
It speaks of someone when young was twisted and turned up jumping over ladders keeping family happy
At least your life is easier now :0)

Thinking of you too @PeppiPatty, hoping that you are doing well and that's the reason for your absence.
