My heart hurts

My heart hurts

It's been hurting for a life time. But the last four years I just don't know how to keep on. I'm alone. I wasn't good enough for my mother, my aunt, or my best friend. I couldn't keep up with everything they expected of me so they cut me out of their lives. If I'm logical about that, they were all very manipulative people that made me into what they wanted, and I was exhausted trying to keep them happy. But I loved them so so so much. They were all that I had but also they made sure they were all that I had. Side note my father raised me, if you can call it that, because my mother left when I was four.

My youngest kid moved to his father's seven months ago and hasn't spoken to me since. I don't know what I did wrong. Two weeks before he left he was his normal self saying I love you girl and constantly chattering about everything and anything. He was so perfect I sometimes wondered how I got so lucky.

If I died no one would be at my funeral. Because no one is in my life. And I have nothing to offer anyone, just hurt, so why would anyone want to be in my life.

Hi @-abbey-

How are you today?

Just wondering whether you have anything lined up, in terms of a bit of support for yourself?

Take Care x

Re: My heart hurts

Alright thank you for asking. I haven't got help. I am not in a position to afford a counsellor just at the moment. I'm trying to not think about things too much and it's not as bad as last week I don't think.

Hi @-abbey- . That's great . Don't think too much about those. Sometimes we can handover that to time. So let time too take some part of our life . So you can relax even for a moment ❤️

I miss my son so much. I miss him. I love him. I don't really have friends. My co workers are about the closest people I have and they do not understand. It hurts so much, the final hurt after quite a few other hurts, but this one is the one I don't seem to be able to pick up after. I miss him so much.

Hi @-abbey- thank you for sharing your thoughts with the community on the Forums!

I'm sorry to hear that you are missing your son and I'm sure that must be very challenging. Isolation can be really hard too and often happens when we experience MH in our lives. The Forums are a great place to connect with other people who experience similar things and share our experiences. You might find this post helpful to connect with others on the Forums:

Hi @-abbey-

Hope you're doing ok today?

Just popped in to wish you a good day and saw your post mentioning that you can't access a lot of help right now.

Sane have a free support line you can call on 1800 187 263. Sane also offer a guided one-on-one service, that might be a comfort to you. You can find the info here: Guided service (sane.org)

Re: My heart hurts

@8ppleTree I finally got the courage up to check, but I'm not on an eligible area. Thank you for the idea though.

Re: My heart hurts

Hi @-abbey-

Thanks for getting in touch! I'm sorry to hear that you weren't eligible 😕

Without knowing your circumstances, it's really hard to say exactly. I believe that you may be able to speak to your GP and explain your financial constraints. Some councils have free or heavily subsidised community based mental health services that require a referral from your GP.

Another alternative is 'Safe Havens' or 'Safe Spaces' (depending on what state you're in). They are free, friendly and non-clinical spaces (sometimes located within a hospital setting, but not always) where people can go to receive support with peer support workers and counsellors, and just have a chat. There is no obligation attached.

Hope your wknd is going ok?
