Re: Anyone feel like chatting? Coffee/Tea ☕💕
Hope everything goes smoothly for you today @CheerBear 🙂
Hope you feel better this morning @Zoe7. What causes your pain? Physical and mental pain together are a challenge I understand.

Where do I start @eth lol...
I have had a sore throat and nearly no voice for nearly 2 weeks. I have drops for my throat which do give me some temporary relief and I think it is helping a little. I have also had a chest infection and breathing has been a little difficult at times. I have been putting off filling my script for antibiotics but think I'll have to do that today. My tooth has been quite painful - but am reluctant to make an appointment to go back to the dentist to get it filled after my allergic reaction last time to the anaesthetic. Aside from all that - the stress/anxiety/lack of sleep/nausea/meds all combined cause debilitating headaches...
...but I did sleep and that is a huge win - I can deal with all the mental and physical stuff just a little bit better when I have slept ![]()

Dear me @Zoe7 that sounds like so much to be dealing with at the same time. Hoping you can have relief today and that things improve. Maybe talk to the dentist about alternative anaesthetics. They are available. I'd be reluctant too.

@eth I have just started on a new med from the psychiatrist and we need to increase that gradually over the next few weeks - so I am trying to hold out until that is sorted to go back to the dentist. it is really frustrating - and certainly not helping my mental state - but I certainly can't deal with the dentist at the moment - too vulnerable ![]()

I totally understand why you'd want to wait then @Zoe7. I'm adjusting to a new med and the absence of one I was on for years. It can take a while to get used to new meds.

@eth With my GP we have tried so many in the last 8-9 months. It took nearly 6 months to get an appointment with a psychiatrist but now we all seem to be on the same page and that is helping. My GP was great with the meds - she was seeing me nearly every day to monitor how I was going - and some I have had an adverse reaction to - but the ones I am taking now do seem to be much better. It is just getting the dosages right and getting used to it. I won't go into hospital but am seeing my psych weekly and GP 3 times/week to keep it monitored.

Sounds like you have a really good GP @Zoe7. I hear you about how frustrating it can be to find the right meds and doses. I've had periods like that too. Adverse reactions are no good. Feeling like your team is working together really helps.

I have a great GP @eth - she even has a 'forum fan club' lol she is so good lol
I always see my GP after I see my psychiatrist (same day). The psych actually types out an update to give to her and my GP manages all the meds from her end (so it is all in one place) and that then goes directly to the chemist where I pick up my meds weekly. It works really well (except for this week when my GP is away
)

Thanks @eth - I do find that difficult to do at times - especially when others need support.
This party planning has definitely come at a good time ![]()
