Re: Anyone feel like chatting? Coffee/Tea ☕💕
@Shaz51thanks for the welcome. Makes me wonder why I didn't come back sooner. Having a quiet weekend. I've had a challenging week and decided to finally confide in a friend this week... not a good move. Feels good to be amongst people who understand. I'm in between study terms so a bit bored which doesn't help lol

Hi @Former-Member
Hope you don't mind me jumping in here,
I am also studying and know what it feels like to bomb out on an assessment 😞
Are you studying at Uni? and do they give you much support when necessary?
I have a study plan in place (with the support of my doctor) where I can get extensions where necessary without having to go to the doctor every time. My lecturers have been super helpful and I would not manage study without the additional support. I am currently trying to work on an assessment piece due over a week ago and have not been to any classes for 2 weeks. Not looking forward to end of semester exams. I have even been offered to sit them at a later date if necessary given current circumstances.

@DeterminedI agree having that extra support from lecturers and/or admin makes so much difference. I have had great support in that way and hope that others have the same. I felt pretty uncomfortable talking about the support I may need initially but am glad I did.

@MissG
I refused to ask for help or admit that I was not managing to start with, I was determined to succeed on my own strength. I had a lecturer 'read between the lines' and in a compassionate way force the issue of me seeking assistance from the relevant support areas. (I would have failed her subject without it and was contemplating giving up on uni altogether). It has been very humbling for me but also enabled me to reach out for help in other areas also so a win-win if you could call it that. (I would much rather be working).

@DeterminedI'm so glad that you have stuck with Uni. The sense of accomplishment will be worth it too. It is humbling but also very brave 🙂

Pleased to meet you MissG and thank you for thinking of me. Doing some personal study on English History with an organisation and find it very challenging - all the different cultures and kings & queens. Hope your evening has been a good one. With every good wish from Bimby2.
