Your comment .."I don't think this day should be about any one War.." I've never known it to be anything other than remembering all fallen and all fighters in all wars.
It just happens to be called ANZAC Day, as that was the most nasty of fights and the first real combination of the Australians and New Zealanders, as both nations were very young at the time.
Lest we Forget. We should not forget those who have fought, nor should we forget that war is evil, and we should never forget that mankind is meant to learn from history, and not repeat it.
My mums dad and uncle both fought at Gallipoli. My dad was in WWII.
ANZAC Day is Australia's and New Zealand's annual War Remembrance Day. That is what I have always believed it to be.
