glad I'm not the only one that does that with coffee @Mazarita Really irritates my better half when he makes me one and I let it go cold. Think it's one of his pet hates.. he has started to remind me nowadays so at least he has learnt my foibles 😛

@Spookytookims, my companion does it a fair bit too when I make him drinks. I've given up reminding him. He hates it when I tell him what to do. Which is fair enough. I'm not very obedient to that either.

I like it when he reminds me cos it's not that I don't want it, it's cos I legimately forget it. I'm just prone to get so into what I'm doing I lose track of everything @Mazarita

@Spookytookims, there's no deadline but, for my own sanity, I will want to send it by tonight. The collaborator is in the US (net collaboration). Basically she is 'ambivalent' about what I've done with the image track of a video we are working on. The essence of what she asks is that I start all over again with completely different images. However, the video is in an advanced state of creation and I've put in countless hours on it. A dilemma.

ohh nooo... is it a cultural thing.... why she is ambivalent about it? cos US seem to be a bit different in thinking to us @Mazarita

@Spookytookims, I think it's only a cultural thing in the sense that she and I may have different sensibilities. Also she is a poet (it's her words and voice that are in the video) and I am a video maker. Different priorities. She now wants a naturalistic treatment of her poem, whereas I usually make fairly abstract, somewhat experimental cinema pieces. It's our first collaboration. I approached her about letting me bring the poem to video.

aahhh that is cultural I think.. Americans generally don't do abstract very well. @Mazarita It's the way they are schooled and brought up, they tend to lean to structure. Of course there are exceptions so maybe she just doesn't "get" what you are trying to do. Is there a way you can make her feel it? I suppose you have already explained your thinking to her.
