Something’s not right

Stuck and can’t escape it.

Stuck and can’t escape it.

Hey,

things are hard and I just can’t seem to escape it, I went to the emergency room last night hoping to get the help I needed from mental health clinicians but they basically sent me on my way, I had SH which was why I went and they still discharged me, I ended up calling them crying for help and they told me to go home and try my coping skills, barely even made it home without having a massive crying episode and having to take myself back for them to just tell me I’m fine and discharge me again.

I feel like I’m just a burden and mistake, it feels all to overwhelming, they are supposed to be there to support you not just send you on your way when your basically in crisis.

the nurse I got when I came back was really rude to me she was a mental health person and basically told me to go home and try my coping skills.[edited by moderator] I was upset and really not feeling great mentally.

im just stuck on what to do, I feel like I just can’t escape it…..

am safe

@Fluttershy1 I don’t think you are a burden, but I totally get you. I have felt like a burden time and time again for people around me. I don’t think anyone else on the forums would think you are a burden either 💖

Thanks @creative_writer - blasting music and playing the switch is distracting me and cuddling with my weighted teddy.

Yes @Fluttershy1 ❤️‍🩹🌺

I understand the deafening silence that is the vacuum left by being very much misunderstood by those who have the role of looking after us 😔💜

I sacked one of my specialists yesterday for doing just that, because that was the most appropriate response to the approach which included gaslighting and coercion ❤️‍🩹🌺🙂

Im not saying this is the only solution, but, I enacted my power in the situation - nobody has a right to treat us any other way than with kindness and respect while they do their job 💜🙂🌺🫂

Keep reminding yourself that you have friends here 🙂🌺

sitting with you, and hopefully this is helping hold back the walls ❤️‍🩹🌺🫂

@Fluttershy1 💖🫂. If you’re not satisfied with your treating team, are you able to seek another opinion?

@Former-Member, sadly medical gaslighting is normal. I’ve had plenty of that. I once even had a psychiatrist who told me she thought I copied a textbook and wasn’t convinced by my symptoms. I dumped her and saw a more helpful psychiatrist afterwards
