Hey everyone, there's a few of us around that have spoken about their poetic streak, so I decided to create a space for folks to share their poetry!!

You're welcome to share any kind of poems or small pieces of creative writing. Feel free to share some of your darker works if you have them, so long as they still remain within the bounds of the Guidelines, and please include trigger warnings and use spoiler tags as necessary.

It's hard to be vulnerable. But seeing the deeper parts in others can give us the courage to share those deeper, sometimes very raw and emotional parts of ourselves, and see that we're not alone in this wild ride called life. rise up from the ashes

of a past plagued in smoke

show the world the Phoenix

with fire in her throat

set the world ablaze

give refinement to the dark

rid the chaff from the wheat

show the burning in the ash

rise up from the shadows

of those who seek you silenced

being light into the darkness

that was right then your past

let the embers ever glisten

to then turn into sparks

spreading on your wings

the fire in your heart

show the world the Phoenix

no matter what they do

you rise through their attempts

when flames engulf you

be who's not expected

with flames upon her wings

destruction in your heartache

rising doesn't cease

golden flames throughout the sky

ash upon the ground

feel the fire in your soul

that no one can stamp out

be the one they don't expect

not falling into place

screaming, never silent

of all that once had been

breathe the fire not expected

set the world ablaze

right the world's injustice

dare not hide away

be the hero in your story

the one to rise above

to prove that you're not quiet

prove that you are loud
