Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hello @PeppiPatty, over here my special friend xx

Hello Everyone

Love to hear from others on the forum if you experience this

My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Don`t know if I am making this up , but i have that feeling ,

House guests @Shaz51 - with all you have going on atm - wow

And Mr Shaz thinks he's losing it - probably not - he just thinks that

And your Mum thinks she is getting dementia - probably not or she wouldn't think about that

But you know they say if you are the only one keeping your head when everyone else is in a panic - well - house guests - right now?

This is your second Mum speaking and I am all for encouraging and being a motivational speaker too

And have you seen your doctor about your gall-bladder attacks

Sending hugs

Dec

The dementia thing's not impossible. My Dad is very intelligent, so he realised he was losing function. He even put some of his own compensating methods in place, such as constantly repeating to himself what he was meant to be doing. And I had a temporary taste of dodgy memory after I had neurosurgery years ago, and guaranteed I was aware that my memory was malfunctioning.
Often people with dementia are unaware of their own decline. But not always.
